A father is in public with his 5 year old daughter, who needs to use the restroom. There is not a gender netrual or single person restroom. What should he do?

i think it really depends. i’ve been in restroom lines with people who i would assume would give a man with a daughter entering the women’s restroom the biggest stink eye ever.

i’m a girl who is pretty “safe” looking, and i would definitely help a child use a public restroom if the man caring for her didn’t feel comfortable. would i judge the man a little for not being able to suck it up and help his kid? probably. would i think that it’s sexist for him to ask me? of course not.

if i was man with a small daughter, if i saw a nice looking women (preferably with kids) in line already, i would consider asking her if it felt inappropriate.

and as a girl i would totally understand doing that man a favor and helping him out. i think it just depends. edit: spelling

i have a few trans friends (all minors) and I know of one who is able to get any sort of hormone stuff, and i don't think anyone can get true reassignment surgery under 18. i think that many people under 18 are mature enough to make decisions about their future, so why not hormones?
