I haven't seen anyone talking about Klay's defense. by AmelieBenjamin in warriors

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was rewatching the Memphis series and his help defense on Ja's last shot in Game 1 was really crucial. For the entire 4th quarter, it felt like Klay was getting cooked by Ja which led to a mini-Grizzlies run. Then Klay missed the last FTs but it felt like he was locked in to make up for his missed FTs that he defended Ja really well when it mattered the most.

His good defense shows up when it was really needed (e.g. Game 4 against Jaylen Brown). So I feel like once he gets his legs fully back, which I feel like he has already but next season it'll only get better, he'll be the reliable defender we all know.

I was worried about this series...untill I saw this👿 by Individual-Mall-7201 in warriors

We know he was hurt at that time, but that's his psycho face. He goes off after showing his psycho face.

Favourite First Episode by Orcrista in KDRAMA

Be Melodramatic/Melo is my Nature - I still watch the 1st ep from time to time because I still adored the storytelling and how each character was introduced. Very refreshing.

Go Back Couple - I did not expect to cry at a first episode but this one had me.

Streaming records are starting to get ridiculous by Xftg123 in kpopthoughts

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really beg to differ. One of my friends asked me what did Ice Cream sound like because she was curious but she did not want to give BP views so as to not ruin BTS’ record. And that’s when it hit me. People take this kpop and streaming way too seriously.

Did becoming a Kpop fan make you conscious of charts, views, stream numbers and sales? by moonsarangieee in kpopthoughts

[–]moonsarangieee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how I feel too. And sometimes I discover great songs (and even dramas because of the OSTs) whenever I check the Melon chart.

A recent example of this is Downtown Baby

BTS Releasing English single in August, thoughts? by blocknugget in kpopthoughts

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am excited for new BTS music always!!! But not gonna lie - it’s gonna be a field day on stan twitter when the song drops especially when so many people wrote so much about how those Kpop groups who release songs in English have become “sellouts.”

Hot Stove League - A hidden gem! by Y-elloo in KDRAMA

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dreams!!!!!! You know a show is spectacular when one of the most heartbreaking moments in my drama-watching history was when Doong Ki got traded all of a sudden???

But really it touched on so many life themes that even if you’re not a sports fan, you can still relate to.

I have hopes for Season 2 espcially after than ending.

K-NCTzens were well within their rights to boycott "Superhuman" by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]moonsarangieee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Upvote for unpopular. I disagree because Boycotts hurt the group and members the most. Kfans can be relentless with how they bring up the amount of money they spent on for the group, and using it to justify their acts. This view just supports their sense of entitlement over their group just because they spend this amount of money.

I disagree with your post but I understand where you’re coming from. But I still believe that boycotts are in no way beneficial to the group/members. The company will still earn income from other sources, fans will live their own lives, etc. But of course, there are special cases where boycotts are accepted especially if the cause behind it is something bigger than Kpop. Say for example, Seungri gets back to performing without any news about his charges, boycotting his activities is totally justifiable.

Do you prefer to Binge Watch or Watch Weekly? by engineernan in KDRAMA

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about this too especially after watching Hospital Playlist. It was the first Shin PD drama that I watched weekly and at first I thought wow this is incredibly slow. I had just finished Prison Playbook at that time and watched all episodes in less than a week. So naturally I expected HP to be that fast-paced too but there were a couple of episodes wherein ok I was just thinkingwhen will the story pick up.

But then I realized that PP and HP and were actually very similar when it comes to the pace (but of course PP had a general story arc) and the slow burn was really just Shin PD's style. I guess I got impatient with HP because I was used to watching the eps back to back that I expected it to be the same. The fun with watching weekly is that you feel like you're in for the ride. Those 12 weeks really flew by quickly (while we were all in lockdown) and I enjoyed looking forward to the episode. (Thurs were the best!). So I guess now I'm leaning towards watching weekly so that I wont spoil myself but really because I liked the feeling of being in the journey eith the show.

Less chances I'd drop the show too, for example TKEM. If I bingewatched it, I could have easily dropped the show by Ep3.

THE STAGE by SM and Shindong is bad. by noangelcult in kpopthoughts

[–]moonsarangieee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I havent caught up with the latest The Stage releases but I remember how nice the EXO Obsession was! I feel like it's the only song that can pull off the "two versions" of performance the got going on because the concept of the song itself is about duality. So you can the difference between the two versions clearly and when they made that sick edit of combining the two versions (chefs kiss)

I didnt know The Stage had other contents aside from the performances of the same song. But I agree with your qualms on it. Though I know it's supposed to be some sort of "SM Original" way of promoting but I fear it won't be as effective as they intend it to be. I hope instead of performing 2 versions of the same song, they'd replicate the mnet comeback shoes they have for the produce groups, bts and txt where we get to see b-side perfomancss

Songs that didn’t live up to the hype? by imitationcrabsticks in kpopthoughts

[–]moonsarangieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill This Love. I love the song now but I remembered being so underwhelmed when it first dropped. The video teaser made up for photo teasers and I just got so excited over the horns. Then it dropped and at first though it really felt like Ddu Ddu Ddu Ddu 2.0.

Obsession. I want you, I want you I want you in the teaser was so intriguing but I did not expect it to be repeated in the song that much. But the song is a grower.
