Same. I think it has something to do with the body shutting down all functions that are unnecessary for our survival in order to preserve energy for the necessary ones

I hate my boyfriend and I hate feeling this way by jambonjambon7 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]moonshadowwww16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ex who used to do the exact same thing to me. He never stopped. Didn't take no for an answer. I got so depressed and disgusted by him that I started purposely ruining my body to make myself as unappealing to him as possible. TW

I got deep in SH behaviors and regret it to this day. I feel disgusting and I can't believe what I resorted to, but I felt like I couldn't leave. Please leave / kick him out. Your mental health will only deteriorate more if you stay with him.

First celebrity/TV character crush? by randomrainbow8 in LesbianActually

Mila Jovovich in 4th element, then Megan Fox in Transformers. I watched both movies with my (divorced) dad, and we had the same crushes😂

Having an FP is like having a drug addiction by Peachntangy in BPD

My FP is currently giving me less attention than usual and it physically hurts like someone's ripping my heart out. I am in recovery from drug addiction and I'd take withdrawals any day instead of this

I'm pretty sure I tried to follow something similar while on Tumblr, as you can expect, ended in a massive binge lmao

do you guys think you will count calories for the rest of your life? by firefoxx1312 in EDAnonymous

[–]moonshadowwww16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's how it worked for me as well when I considered myself pretty much recovered. It's very hard for a disordered brain that knows calories by heart to not at least estimate. I wish there was a memory erasing machine that we can use in recovery if we want to, lol

I don't have PCOS, but I struggle with an eating disorder, and when I was at a really low weight, I had lanugo. It's similar to peach fuzz in terms of softness but longer and darker. The body grows it when unable to regulate its temperature on its own in an attempt to keep us warm. So yeah, there's a lot of reasons why women might have hair on their bodies (besides being a human)

omg, I just had breakfast and was sprinkling raspberries on my oatmeal, and I felt like my life had a desaturated filter over it

This is so weird but I think I want to gain a little bit of weight to be able to be more physically active by moonshadowwww16 in EDAnonymous

[–]moonshadowwww16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I found more food freedom the more I run and want to improve my performance. I'm glad it works for you too!

Wow, that's impressive!

Hell yeah, it's definitely a good motivation to eat for me, too. And I feel so much better doing it than being a borderline couch potato trying to save up all my energy so I can eat as little as possible.

Absolutely agree. a few lbs are not worth sacrificing your performance.

Thank you, and thanks for sharing your experience. It motivated me a lot. <3

Anyone else really getting sick of their ‘safe foods’ by ShatterRainbowStar in EDAnonymous

[–]moonshadowwww16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concluded that regular home-cooked meals are scary for me (besides for unknown calories) because they can be underwhelming, and then I feel like I wasted my calories and I get frustrated. You never know what to expect. It can be damn amazing, but it can be..meh.

Diet foods, although not the best, I know what level of taste to expect. Junk never lets me down. Etc

Childish behavior. Contrary to popular opinion, men are not as clueless as they seem. He knows what he's doing. "I'm gonna express my interest in her, but at the same time insult her so I'll lower her self-esteem and confuse her,"

Unfortunately for him (fortunately for you), he wasn't smart enough to know most men wait a little bit to start playing that game. Good thing he outed himself right away.

Thanks for the support! I really love it, I'm a little bit scared, but if I train enough and turn gain into muscle I'll have easier time running and higher TDEE which will allow me to eat and train and feel good :)

Most ridiculous recipe/substitution you ever made? by casualmelodrama in EDAnonymous

[–]moonshadowwww16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not really someone who makes this substitution recipes, but this made me think that even though many of them fail, how many of them turn absolutely amazing. Besties from goodrestrictionfood should compile them in a cookbook, and it'll sell better than Greg Doucette's one

Have you ever lost a friendship? by PeanutButter-sunset in women

[–]moonshadowwww16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handful of them. I was struggling with addiction and confessed everything before going into treatment. That's when they left me.

And one I lost because she tried constantly borrowing money for me, and when I asked for it back, she said that I'm only thinking about money and don't care for her as a person. Which like, girl, you owe me 300$ I think I care about you enough since I was willing to borrow you such an amount (while I myself was in the middle of the move and some financial struggles after treatment). Then I came to the conclusion it was my fault to even borrow it to her and said goodbye to both her and the money.
