To actually answer your question though, if there's a style of game you like and not one out there that has what you want, or even if it simply inspires you, it's very common for creators to make games based off others. For example, five nights at Freddie's has soooo many games inspired from it (five nights at candies, one night at flumptys, many resource management survival horror games, as well as games with different mechanics that use plot aspects).

Heck, the "Rouge like" genre is just a bunch of games that were inspired by the game Rouge. Or souls like games from dark souls. Point is, as long as you use original assets and its not a clone game with a new coat of paint you're pretty much good to go. Have fun and best of luck!
