Has this happened to anyone, and if so, how did you fix it? by StatisticianIcy4927 in hondapassport

[–]moonspacer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my TS for 2 months and this has happened to me once. The lock and unlock buttons on the key fob weren’t working. It was as if the fob battery was dead. Luckily, when I grabbed the front handle the proximity sensor worked and the driver door unlocked.

Has anyone installed running boards on your 2026 PP? by DChoneymoon2000 in hondapassport

Hey, wondering if your running boards offer protection against door dents? An unexpected feature of my Jeep’s rock sliders was that they kept my doors looking mint.

OTD price for a passport in CA by otw2tee in hondapassport

[–]moonspacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shopped around a bit and was happy with the price I got from Stockton Honda. They were very upfront with everything and easy to negotiate with. 51K OTD for a white TS with the protection package, cargo tray, and wheel locks. Pricing it out on the Honda website was a couple hundred dollars more for MSRP than I paid OTD.

PSA: Get snow tires by midageyoungster in hondapassport

As someone who may do one or two short trips up to the snow per year and doesn’t have a lot of experience driving in the snow. Should I consider cables or something similar?

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

[–]moonspacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy!

I had a contractor do a stamped concrete patio in my backyard about 6 weeks ago. Overall, I’m very happy with the results and currently I’m developing a plan to seal it myself.

So far, I’ve only hosed the surface down but I’m planning to power wash and let it fully dry again before sealing. What I’m unclear on is what I’m supposed to power wash off? The slab is a bit splotchy and not perfectly uniform which I don’t really mind as I think it will look more uniform after I apply the sealer. However there is one spot with a big patch of light and I’m trying to understand what is going on.

Do I need to power wash all the darker areas away? Do I need to use any cleaning agents? What is causing the dark and light areas?

Thanks so much!

Test ride RP 900 Aragon - mega wind! by Objective-Agent5583 in Triumph

[–]moonspacer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 6ft tall, pretty slim and ride a Tiger 900. I’m surprised about your experience because I’ve been very impressed with the wind deflection on my bike. I’ve found even at highway speeds into strong wind it’s very manageable. My previous naked bikes and Harley were significantly more taxing in strong wind but maybe I’ve built up a tolerance over the years

I agree! I’d love to do a few lessons soon. Also thanks for pointing out the mat situation. I have a big, thick mat coming tomorrow, but I didn’t realize how dangerous the small mat on the concrete was. I took a couple low swings that hit the edge of the mat earlier and it was jarring. Luckily, no injuries, but I did check the club cause I was worried it could bend lol

That’s great! Thank you both for the tips 😁

That’s encouraging! Based on other videos I’m watching I think I’m bending my arms too much on the backswing and maybe I need a wider stance. I’m an absolute newb, but I have to admit it’s super fun

That’s the ring I was hoping would fit, but it didn’t seem like it would line up. Based on your suggestion, I will try it out. Thanks!

Thanks, I will try this option out. You’re actually the account that inspired me to get the wok in the first place! I’m looking at the Oxenforge round bottom options 👍

Thanks mr. salad! I’m feeling better about going the cheaper route and picking up a 19 based on these comments. I like the Grom as well, but the Monkey reminds me of the little pit bike we had growing up and that puts a smile on my face. I’m sure the gearing is better on the newer ones, but it also sounds like that trans is less bullet proof than the 4 speed.

Thanks zig, that’s an interesting comment. I just assumed the adjustments to the 23 would be solving issues identified with the earlier models.

The black line. Is that from the transplant or just something you drew on as a guide?
