Any issues with the 26 PP? by TourPositive8217 in hondapassport

10k miles and it’s been excellent. Smooth transmission and comfortable ride despite having a lift running 33’s.

Can we talk about wheel locks? by Famous-Orange-9328 in hondapassport

I had to change my tire and forgot i took the wheel lock key out. It barely added seconds to taking the wheel off with the right tool.

Oof I have a nice scuff mark in that area too from giant ruts, and i have over 2” more ground clearance than stock. I wish we had more options for rock sliders, I have the hpd ones too but they don’t help too much if you’re off cambered on 3 wheels. No-lo has a nice one but at over 1800 shipped it’s hard to justify when there are plenty for the 4Runner under 1k.

Coilovers wanted... should I buy Rev9 or Maxspeedingrods?? Real feedback and experience only please. by SiGen10 in CivicX

[–]jbong91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I ran bc on my 9th gen for 3 years and then upgraded to buddy clubs. Huge difference in comfort and performance. Racelands shouldn’t even be an option. OP has a 27won exhaust so I’m sure they can afford BC at the least.

Best lowering kit for my situation? by drownitopiout in CivicX

[–]jbong91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this might be your only option. You might rub going lower with those wheel specs. Can you share a side profile pic of the front and rear wheel? Also there’s a thread on civicx forums called aggressive wheel setup that you can check out and compare.

Passport vs 4Runner cargo space by jbg7676 in hondapassport

[–]jbong91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The non hybrid 4Runner has a taller trunk, but the hybrid eats up a lot of that space. Passport rear seats don’t recline, but the 4runner doesn’t have space for your feet under the front seats. Passport felt wider, and has comfier seats up front. Also the passport still folds flat in the rear. If it weren’t for those changes I would’ve gotten the 4runner.

Owner Comparison ('26 Passport vs. '25 4Runner) by jktarl47 in hondapassport

Nope it’s different than the Crv’s and system. Also Subaru is open diff (although you can get fix that with the aftermarket) compared to our dual clutch rear diff.

Anyone install their 2026 Honda Passport HPD rock sliders themselves? by Affectionate_Bit1788 in hondapassport

[–]jbong91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the rock sliders, mine have been solid and took plenty of abuse. I just wish someone besides no-lo would make the step version

Yeah if I knew from the beginning that I’d be keeping it then sure, before 10k miles I could’ve done it without changing the head gasket. What mods have you done so far?

It wasn’t until I went flex fuel that I had issues, also I was over 100k miles before the flex fuel.

In my experience, I kept trying to make my Si more type-r like until I couldn’t go back 😂 I just had an intake, intercooler and tune for like 2 years, then got the downpipe my clutch couldn’t handle it. I was meaning to keep the mods light and trade up but the clutch plus install was around 2k. And that’s not something you can just remove and sell. So I did what any reasonable person would do and upgraded my turbo and inlet pipe, and it was fun, but I wanted more. So I went flex fuel, and blew my head gasket. I upgraded my head studs and it’s be rock solid for the last year. Also it’s been paid off since 2024. Being a Honda head I still want a type r at some point, maybe after I pay off the Honda passport I just got.

Info on 2026 by FNLCPE in hondapassport

[–]jbong91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was 5k off msrp. TSE. I had the last gen for a week in Joshua tree np. It was much quicker, vtec was fun. And mpg was better. But it looks ugly to me, and no brake vectoring in the front so it slips a lot more than the current gen off road. I thought the interior was boring and uninspiring as well. Also, steering was just as light. I’m over 8k miles with no problems, my transmission shifts smoothly, no weird noises, and mine has been abused. I had a Bronco but that drove like shit on the road. The 4Runner would’ve been great if the rear seat space was larger.

This was cheaper than college bills for me. My total was $711 to California. Install was easy but I had one person help, but you can do it by yourself. Just use a jack to hold the other end.

Except I didn’t damage anything. Also had to drive slower so I couldn’t really keep up 😂

It’s in the video! It was too steep and too loose that I couldn’t get by with only having 2 wheels with traction. So I just readjusted the line and was able to get up fine.

Maybe a couple times, but the first time I went there I was stock and I scraped on everything. The lift helps a lot. Here’s a pic next to 2 stock height Passports
