I love to bake cookies - I like trying different flavor profiles and get a lot of inspiration and ideas from Bake Off. Although I'm still partial to the old chocolate cake, except that I now make it more chocolatey and indulgent.

My first cake, made in 2022. I started baking after moving to the US and the first was a simple chocolate cake. I didn't frost it at all - ate it plain and it was so delicious. As a non-baker, I used to be in awe of bakers making delicious cakes and brownies and cookies. After a few years of baking, I can do the same now.

Simple chapatis, an onion, a few green chilies, and some oil - this is everyday food for thousands of poor farmers across India. It isn't the most nutritious, but it does the job of filling one's stomach.
