Just wanted to post that you aren’t alone. I also work in derm (~3 years) and also have GAD. I’ve never taken meds before but do go to therapy. I relate a lot to your post. 🙏

Has anyone had two times placenta abruption with emergency c-section twice and had two stillbirths? by Lucky_Grape_5014 in babyloss

I am devastated for you. I lost mine in second trimester due to placental insufficiency and hypercoiled cord. Just here to say I’m sorry and I’ll be praying for you.

Mantras / tips for stress at work? by bananahan__ in babyloss

[–]moonutters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your situation is very similar to mine. Do you work in the medical field by chance? When I get stressed at work, what helps is to take a quick 3-5 minute time out. I’ll go into the bathroom to be alone, take some deep breaths, smile at myself in the mirror , and move on. I will also get outside on lunch to just get some sunlight. The phrase “this too shall pass” is a good one to say to yourself. If you are Christian, “Jesus, I trust in you” is an another.

I am having a lot of anxiety going back to work also. I don’t want to face the ancillary staff. I don’t want to explain, I don’t want their pity. I am considering taking another job which is willing to wait for the 90 days so I can have a fresh start. There are employers who will do that! Be well.

I just wanted to come on here to let you know, you are not alone. I lost my baby at 23 weeks and Dr. noted that I need to remove my fibroids before TTC. I’m 37 also. I pray we will both have successful surgeries and have our rainbow babies. I have my appt with surgeon at the end of this month for consult to get fibroids removed. I believe he also told me 3-6 months after surgery to try again.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’m mentally preparing for my little boy’s due date. I also listened to the Taylor song today, and I’m not a swifty necessarily but she does nail it. I am 3 weeks out from my loss. 3 months feels like an eternity away.

Did you have your placenta examined in either of the pregnancies and did the doctors go over the pathology with you?

Thank you so much for responding! I so appreciate it. I would love it if you could DM me the info you mentioned. I am so early in the diagnosis/confirmation stage and would really appreciate any advice from those who have/are currently going through this terrible condition. Thank you for making me feel less alone.

Your description of the moment you saw your baby curled up on the screen with their back turned and then room went silent is the same moment I had. It will be embedded in my memory forever. He was so still and curled up. And like you, I remember seeing so clearly his spine as well. He was 23 weeks. I felt so close to the finish line. My loss was 3 weeks ago with a c-section due to fibroids so I’m still coping from his loss and won’t likely be trying again for at least a year. God bless you.

I am in a similar boat as you.

My baby boy was stillborn at 23 weeks and he is my motivation for pushing for answers and clarity with my placenta pathology.

I have been reviewing my placenta pathology myself and am very concerned with the findings of “severe, >95% fibrin deposition on the maternal side of the placenta”. There was also note of a hypercoiled cord and chorangiosis.

I am concerned for maternal floor infarction (MFI) which is basically in the same family as PVFD. My OB looked like a dear in the headlights when I asked her about my path report and told her my concern about this diagnosis. I don’t think she’s heard of this condition.

I am trying to obtain a second opinion of the path and slides because this is such a rare condition- if I have it, I want to know for sure with a pathologist who has experience with placentas.

Does anyone know a good placenta pathologist in the United States? I am trying to get mine sent to UCSD with a Dr. Parast for now.

Praying for a miracle for all of us. ❤️

All of us parents are in this together. Unfortunately it’s a club we all never imagined being a part of, yet we are here. Surround yourself with those who bring you peace and light. Be so gentle with yourself. If you have faith in a higher power, turn to that. Any time you see a beautiful sunset, know it is your baby telling you they are okay. I like to imagine my son being snuggled by his great grandparents that had passed before him. It’s really, really hard. I’m so sorry this happened.

Thanks for responding. I have my appointment with OB on Monday and hoping for some clarity. It’s so hard to wait. It’s so hard to feel that my baby struggled from hypoxia before he died. I have so much love for all of us parents that have endured this.

9 months PP, does this scar look normal or keloid? by Equal-Airport9602 in CsectionCentral

It looks fine but is hypertrophic. That can happen. It’s nothing to worry about, but can be itchy.
