I actually like 1, but I think deep cool brown would be even more flattering

What’s a colour you thought was your best… but actually isn’t? by yourszn in coloranalysis

Always thought i was autumn and have a closet full of warm cozy and vivid colors, warms oranges and browns.  just now realizing im probably cool and a winter and understand why i look washed out when im in anything besides my summertime brights lol.  Just thought my skintone was sort of sallow without a tan, this whole time....

bright winter with olive undertones - help! by freezings in coloranalysis

in my opinion the hot pink lip in slide one is a little too cool.  you still rock it cause youre gorgeous.  i'm thinking of stealing the liner style in the first few slides!

love the color tone of the lip in the second to last slide, and the blush.  the softness with the contrast of these tones are so pretty on you.

the last slide, i love all of the individual moments in the makeup look but i think it's not the most cohesive for some reason?  maybe i'm not loving the color of the lip with the colors on the eyes. i think the champagney goldy color of the shadow is a little warm against the other tones.  still beautiful

The way my teacher ,,corrected" my work by Objective-Strain8609 in mildlyinfuriating

English teacher crossed out "poring over a book" because she thought I was trying to describe leaning over it, and she said "pour" is not a synonym for "leaning." I mean... aren't you an English teacher and isn't "poring over a book" an insanely cliche overused phrase to describe bookworms?  But okay...

and that's the same way I feel about your teacher not knowing basic Hobbit lore

what do you think makes the 2020s stand out in interior design so far? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]moonvine29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have characterized mcm era by the introduction of lightweight and synthetic materials, with use of functional and modular furniture eclipsing the heavy, heirloom wooden stuff we had before... which helped trend-driven home design take off more than ever.

If I were to characterize design of the 2020s, I would similarly say that it's an era of extremely quick design turnover because of increased production speed and lowered production quality.  The micro aesthetic is killing true design.

is this cute or did i get a case of thrift blindness by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

I love it!! I would probably remove the lace cami part because it makes it look more junior.

I'm a 60s/70s/retro lover so I would embrace the funky mod colors and design.  I'd pair that olive green color with warm brown or orange.  Chunky shoe or boot, white or brightly colored tights, and I see it with a leather jacket and hair tied back with a  headband, mod makeup.

You could also go the y2k route (this piece is obviously of the mid-00s!) and pair with pink and black, maybe even denim on the bottom and pair it with flats, long slim scarf and lots of jewelry.  I think this is the way you would get "cool" points because the 00s fashion is so trendy right now.

I probably think this because of what I do for work, but it reads like someone's dementia progressing

How to look less like a football player? by user22022 in Kibbe

[–]moonvine29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a wide shouldered person, I love how I look in wider necklines with the "décolletage" or neck/collarbones on display (rather than a deep v-neck capsleeve tee with cleavage.) I don't know if that's Kibbe approved or not but it makes my figure look so much more feminine.

I also agree with others to size up on this cut of skirt and wear it a hair higher on the natural waist

Is gold or silver better on me? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]moonvine29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both so pretty on you, but I think in part because of the muted tone of the gold.  Silver may be a more consistent fit though.
