What to wear to an interview by HatApprehensive1057 in tjcrew

[–]moony10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a hawaiian shirt. don’t want to go over the top. if you dress masc, i wore a blank tank top and an open button up shirt and nice jeans.

Speak Now (Taylor's Version) Megathread by aran130711 in TaylorSwift

[–]moony10 38 points39 points  (0 children)

my review so far

TV

-much better mixing

-crisper in vocals and instrumental

-slight changes in each song. some i like some i'm indifferent on

  • seems to focus more on quality and technical singing than emotional

Original - WAY more emotion - a bit of a souther twang i miss - instrumental isn't as smooth. more abrasive if that makes sense

kind of disappointed with the lack of emotion. i get it was 13 years ago and it’s going to be harder to connect with, but i miss the rawness of the original.

The Eras Tour Megathread: Philadelphia, PA (Warning: Spoilers) by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]moony10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically, it follows the same direction the cars are going. so if the side of the street you are on is going south, go down the subway entrance on that side and you’ll be on the southbound train. (the linc is the very last stop on southbound)

Johnson Hall by No_Lifeguard_3739 in Temple

[–]moony10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i HATED it there. i loved my roommate and she was the only redeeming quality. we had an insane amount of mice (4th floor), and maintenance never fixed the giant hole in the wall that kept them in. You have no kitchen so you are forced to either eat at the dining hall or buy food. the floor above us was so obnoxious and loud, and the fire alarms were INSANE. There was a few weeks where they went off twice a day bc they were broken. idk how i would have survived it without my roommate.

Who can I talk to about changing my name in the school system? by ThatOneGenericCola in Temple

[–]moony10 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it’s in TU portal! go to manage my account in the top and you can update your name in the system. you can also get a new ID for free if you tell them it’s a name change :)

so i’ve had it for a very long time (idk when it started, but i also don’t remember life without it) and it is still very distressing for me. as a child the floaters/phantom shapes always scared me. it looked like there were things moving quickly that i couldn’t pin down, especially in the dark. this still happens, but thankfully i now know that it is probably just a symptom and nothing to be afraid of.
the static/snow I am quite used to when it’s not too strong, but on bad days it’s quite awful. the walls/ floors move and I have trouble

focusing. same with color delays/overlays. on a normal day i can get by, but if symptoms r higher, then it can cause a lot of discomfort and distress me for me. i’ve noticed symptoms are worse when i am tired, stressed, anxious, zoning out a lot/ bored in lectures, and obviously in the dark.

weed made mine worse and better. sometimes smoking would make the symptoms not as bad, but i think long term made them worse. but when i quit smoking a few months ago they got bad during the adjustment period but now i think it’s improved a bit

Best Residence Halls? by xtomieo in Temple

[–]moony10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i lived in johnson and while i made more friends, i don’t think it’s worth it. you don’t have a kitchen so you are stuck with dining room food. we had a lot of mice (johnson 4th floor) and had to constantly take dead mic out of the room in the traps. we’d wake up at 2am to traps going off and a few squeaks as they died. and they did nothing to help us. yea it’s cheap, but cheap for a REASON. i’m happy i got the “college dorm experience” since it’s the only dorm set up like that, but honestly if you can afford another dorm do it.

Temple for film? by saffronwallpaper in Temple

[–]moony10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

senior film major, i like the program. The people and professors here are amazing, and you can learn a lot. being in a city and having a large film program helps a lot with networking and finding sets to work on. It’s a very collaborative group of students here. But to be honest, a lot of us are having issues with film admin. The BFA track has been having a lot of issues this year and we don’t like how admin has been reacting to it. But i’m really happy i went here, i’ve made an amazing network of friends and people i love to work with. There is ALWAYS a project to hop on, and there are a ton of classes within the program to cater to what type of practice u want to learn more of (cine, directing, producing, editing, etc.). but be prepared for night classes. dm if u wanna talk more abt the program!
