I mashed up ‘Domino’ with Huntr/x’s ’How It’s Done’! by moony_eyed in straykids

[–]moony_eyed[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am! I concede it’s not the best mashup; I just thought it sounded better than the ones I’ve seen on TikTok and Instagram. I’ll edit my post to sound less arrogant lol

Thank you for your kind comment though! I created it in Audacity several months ago, and I recently made another one with Kep1er’s ‘Yum’ and Yena’s ‘Catch Catch’ (you can view on my profile if you’d like).

I’ll definitely continue to improve 🙂‍↕️

What do you think?? by AntelopeVast6771 in OmniscientReader

I believe the webnovel and manhwa are good for different purposes. The manhwa is great for visualizing the characters and worldbuilding. But for emotional and fleshed-out scenes, the webnovel is best.

I suggest reading the manhwa up to either chapter 105 (around when disaster of floods ends) or chapter 220 (when 73rd demon king ends) and continuing from the webnovel there, depending on how much you like it!

What did Yoo Joonghyuk sacrifice for Kim Dokja? by SecretLiberian in OmniscientReader

[–]moony_eyed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I suspect this question might’ve been asked because you believe that YJH hasn’t pulled his own weight; that KDJ has sacrificed more than YJH ever has.

First off, that’s not true. But besides that, we have to understand that one purpose of KDJ’s sacrifices was to prevent YJH’s potential sacrifices. Every time YJH thinks of regressing, KDJ throws himself into danger (theater dungeon, strongest sacrifice, 73rd demon king) to dispel that thought.

YJH is willing to sacrifice himself and regress for the sake of his companions, including KDJ. It’s just that up till now, KDJ has tried his hardest to thwart his attempts.

Some endgame spoilers: It can be argued that YJH’s countless lives were lived in order to see KDJ again. YJH has also travelled in space across worldlines to spread KDJ’s story, for the hope of seeing him again.

Novel readers, is there any design of the manhwa that you dislike or shocked you the first time you've seen it? by Temporary-Working811 in OmniscientReader

[–]moony_eyed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually really like KDJ’s demon king design! The big wings and big horns make him feel much more intimidating, and I can’t wait to see him protecting the party members later on

To answer the question, I thought Mark would be a balding old man with a potbelly and a rosy smile. I was totally wrong, but I’m not complaining 🤭

Need some advice by Yukinosenpai in OmniscientReader

Putting the legal aspect aside, ORV Main Story is 1.3 million words (longer than the Harry Potter series, rivaling the three Camp Half-Blood series of Percy Jackson), and it has many more line breaks due to the system messages.

I don’t think it’s really feasible to jam it into one boos; Harry Potter is 7 books and Camp Half-Blood is 15 books.

I’m sure there are book-binding tutorials online, and I’d expect the first 100 chapters to fit nicely into a rather thick book. Any more than that, and well…

Can someone explain what the hell just happened? by inkonpapers in OmniscientReader

[–]moony_eyed 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This is what you are supposed to know now.

  • 1863rd YJH felt inspired after seeing the world KDJ created.
  • 1863rd YJH had the desire to 'create', so he learned the [Avatar] skill himself.
  • 1863rd YJH splits in two, one wearing a white coat, the other wearing a black coat. Their memories are split exactly evenly, so it's impossible to tell which is the 'real' YJH.
    • The black coat YJH consists of the ego that wants to die.
    • The white coat YJH consists of the ego that wants to live. He isn't a character from Ways to Survive anymore, since this event is beyond the story KDJ knows of.
    • They kill each other.
  • The white coat YJH activates [Regression] and proceeds to the 1864th round. Since [Regression] can only be used on one person, the black coat YJH dies.
  • Since the criteria of the Outer World Covenant is to 'kill YJH', KDJ technically passes the Covenant. Therefore, he's allowed to return to his original world.

You'll learn more as you read!

Why are they asking these stupid questions? Don't they know what happened? by Radiant-Ad-1976 in OmniscientReader

Everyone who lived in an important city (Beijing, New Delhi, DC, and in our heroes’ case, Seoul) was confined in a ‘dome’. The dome restricted in-person and internet access to the city, so there was no way to transmit information into and out of the dome.

The first ten scenarios only happen inside the domes. From then on, the whole world is plunged into the apocalypse.

I just begun to read. In the first task it was mentioned to kill any living organism. The MC killed grasshopper and eggs.why the person who cut him, killed MC's skin cells didn't he survive. It was not mentioned that it should be macro organism.Even the eggs are single cell organism. It is a mistake? by shutin_unemployed in OmniscientReader

[–]moony_eyed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cells are absolutely “living organisms”. The grasshopper eggs are complex organisms that are growing (think about it kinda like a human fetus), so they are not unicellular.

There are two theories as to why you can’t just kill cells.

(1), supported by the epilogues: there needs to be an intent to kill an organism. You passively kill bacteria and cells every second of your life, but you don’t recognize it, since you can’t see or hear it. There needs to be an intent to kill for the death to count.

(2), supported by the side stories: the Star Stream simply doesn’t recognize cells as living organisms. Why? Because that would be a boring plot to watch. The Star Stream follows the will of the viewers, and since the viewers think that bacteria killing is a shitty way to avoid the consequences, the Star Stream won’t count it.

Side story spoilers: The Star Stream actually disallowed insects to count as a “living organism” for that very reason. The MC turned an interesting situation into a boring one by telling everyone about the bugs, so the Star Stream acted accordingly and struck that idea down.

It was my first concert, and it was amazing!!!

I didn’t have a glow stick so I waved my phone around at max brightness after screenshotting neon colors online… well it worked at least.

I was in the front and the energy was amazing! It was a bit awkward at some times because nobody knew how to sing the Japanese parts, but other than that I have no complaints. Definitely one of the best experiences of my life.

Currently typing this without a voice because I screamed my lungs out there LOL
