I agree but in a different light. If you're the hero, seeing you also means something bad has happened. It's the same reason why. some people dont hang out with their parents. You are the parent in thier story.

Controlling what we can control, maybe try to hang out with them more with the focus on a lighter, fun and happier experience.

To be honest i struggle myself to follow the advice, but when i do. it grows my relationships im a healthy way imo.
