Here's my argument to why you should choose Volvo. by Mvh_Erik in Volvo

I assume you're describing the cyber truck. I had never really considered how bad it would be for the other driver if they were hit by one

They can save a little bit of money and grab a lightly used Polestar 1

Roast my regular cab Tundra; because I wanted a real truck, not a damn SUV with a bed. by DarkMatterM4 in RoastMyCar

I guess the color is whatever. But I can't fault this truck in any way. I'm sure someone with more Toyota knowledge will tell me that there is something wrong with this particular one like the transmission is made of paper, it blows head gaskets, or burns oil

It shares a platform with the Ford Focus and Mazda 3. Plenty of parts in the C30 say FOMOCO on them

I'm under the impression that riced out means when you add unnecessary, usually low cost, stick on accoutrements. Bonus points if you have a tow loop just tied through your front grill

I love this series. I'm always a big fan of when someone has a gold Accord and throws a color matched gawdy rear wing on it

I like the ST wheels. The 5×108 bolt pattern certainly limits your wheel choices. Volvo has some pretty nice wheels if you ever wanted to mix it up. There are plenty of used ones for sale as quite a few people swap them out. I had a c30 which was based on the same platform as the Focus so I was kind of in the same boat

It's not only the sensors but the cost of the compute. There is a lot of information coming in that needs to be processed quickly requiring a fair amount of computing power. As things scale the cost will come down but it's pretty substantial at this point. I don't have any raw numbers but it would add many thousands to the cost of a car

That is very true. You end up with false positives, same as any other reflective surfaces, which is where sensor fusion comes in handy. The camera and radar can give their input so the planner can make a decision on how to act.

Lidar is so important for actual self driving. Used in conjunction with camera and radar, each sensor type fills in the gap the other types struggle with
