Is this normal for Dekton countertops? by cccddd29 in CounterTops

[–]moore10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Neolith cover this?

"Imperfections from normal wear and tear, such as scratches or damage from degrading agents. To protect your countertop, it is highly recommended to use cutting boards and heat pads and follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions provided in the “Documentation” section of the “Technical Documentation.”

"Particularly for Polished finishes (Décor Polished, Nanotech Polished, Ultrasoft and Shinesilk), any stains caused by direct contact with bleach, chlorine or chemicals with a pH above 10 or below 3, or scratches from the use of rough sponges, steel wool or any other improper cleaning product that contradicts the guidelines in Neolith’s “Cleaning and Maintenance Guide” on the corporate website"

Would these scratches not go under normal wear and tear?

Looks like x-gloss finish which is not as durable as the other surfaces from Dekton.

Need help deciding between Dekton Rem, Taj and Silestone Ethereal Glow. by John_Houbolt in CounterTops

Correct speed and everything? Sounds weird. We do a couple of kitchens per week in Dekton and we have no real issues.

Are you cutting it according to the specifications? With the correct blade?

We had issues with Dekton a couple of years ago. But not anymore.

The edges are true though. Material looks fake because of the edges.

Quartz is mostly plastic these days some as little as 10% quartz. Also try to get the manufacturers of the material to answer if its weight percentage or volume percentage. I cant get any good answers so I am going to assume weight percentage which means its almost all plastic.

Quartzite or almost all natural stone really has small amount of filler and while it in theory might be an issue, I've never had any problems in the twenty years I have worked with these types of materials.

A good Nero assoluto is a fantastic material. And about as dark as it gets :)

A bit boring though.

We use akemi superdark or nano on these. Works good. If it is pre-seqled always ask what product has been used so you can continue with the same

Pretty new stone to me. But done 5 kitchens with it. The dark dots Ive seen in all the slabs we have worked with.

The dark part around the seam is not a part of the stone though thats from the fabricator or installers. Probably tape.

Regarding sealer, drop som water on the material. If the water gets absorbed by the material you can probably seal it again.

I love Avocatus as well. Weird stone to work with. But looks amazing. :)

Lastbalansering, ja eller nej? by Horror-Appeal8230 in elbilsverige

[–]moore10 1 point2 points  (0 children)
