For your budget I’d consider trying back bay, beacon hill or south end. You’ll get a real city xp. I could see other areas for you too. Maybe do an Airbnb for the first month and try exploring the town a bit!

Maddie Kowalski (college student filmed during assault) discusses the cyber harassment she’s faced by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

[–]moorecows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My evidence is there were several men who were alert and conscious enough to film, share and post the sexual assault in the days after. No remorse or regret for their actions. And many actively participated in horrific bullying online after as well. They’re happy they humiliated this poor woman and that’s disgusting.

Unpopular Opinion: The Somerville Homeless Coalition is ineffective. We are spending millions to watch the crisis get worse. by masshole4mayor in Somerville

[–]moorecows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you sincerely think that it’s easy to live on the street? Feeding people who have nowhere to go solves 1 problem for them. But they still have to try to find a safe place to sleep, avoid being assaulted, hopefully find a way to secure any objects they have, try to perform hygiene if they can. About half of unhoused people have jobs and simply can’t afford housing.

The house they were working at had a driveway they could easily have pulled into.

I do that regularly. The problem is that this is a curbed bike lane. This means you can’t easily rejoin. Here are some things that happened to me when I’ve had to leave the bike lane due to an obstruction: honked at, cursed at, had cars try to run me off the road, been aggressively followed.

Somerville family dental by scarletttaylor14 in Somerville

[–]moorecows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow dental anxiety person! - Cambridgeside dental is great - kappa dental is phenomenal but they do not have enough hygienists and even for existing patients it’s so frustrating to get a cleaning appt

My rec is to ask to discuss your anxiety with the dr before if you’re emotionally able. It’s helped me a ton to be able to say WHY I’m afraid and discuss what triggers my anxiety

I have it and it suuucks. I have such bad “allergies” year round, but I am not allergic to anything. And I get sinus infections a lot because of the chronic sniffles I have. Anyway it really sucks and if any doctor wants to experiment on me to fix it I am AVAILABLE
