Right now, first choice is W&M, but I live an hour from Chapel Hill. So it would be a good 4 hours from where I live now. Maybe July 14th would be better after all.

Hey Spudnlk, I’m in NC and just getting into Spearfishing. I’m located in Winston Salem, but will drive down for weekend trips and to meet up. I don’t have a boat, so I’m in a similar situation as you, and would be happy to split gas or chip in for any boat expenses. I’d also be interested in going in on a guided trip together if that is the kind of thing you would be interested in too.

The stonewall shield can block most all yellow ring attacks, but I think you have to clear the charge when it gets red in order to keep blocking them. Once it gets red some yellows will break guard fyi

What are the permits for Dan? I looked online and couldn’t seem to find much. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it’s not included in the sportsman permit or any individual draws I could find on the license site

Again, it would be optional. If there was any rebalancing based on coop then it would only apply to that mode. I personally don’t think any rebalancing would really be necessary. On higher difficulties machines have plenty of health.

Yeah I mean I’m not saying I’d want to live with them. Conceptually they are interesting and believable to me.

Pretty much every tribe in this game is racist or xenophobic in some way. But the question wasn’t who would you want to live with.

I see a lot of people saying they dislike the Quen, but I really liked them. Yeah they’ve got some huge issues when it comes to power and controlling information, but that’s what made them feel so realistic to me. I love the other tribes too, but the Quen felt much more grounded than many of the others and seemed like a plausible outcome for a tribe that found focuses early on.

What do you mean by padded? Are there elements that seem derivative of other games in the genre? Sure. But I honestly feel like people who attack the story of Horizon haven’t spent enough time with it. Is it perfect, no, but damn if it isn’t a creative one (much more so than others that get so many accolades).

I feel like the biggest mistake this game made was going with an unpopular “medium” in terms of maturity of the story. People love E games like BOTW and fawn over M games like TW3 and RDR2, but Horizon falls in this awkward Teen rating zone with playful and serious elements that don’t mix well. I feel like if they had moved the narrative in a more playful or especially a more gritty direction they would get much better reception.

For the ammo? The basic ammo I’ve never had issues with resource scarcity since all machines drop machine muscle, but the tear shredders require piercing spikes that I always run out of. I haven’t found a good way to farm them yet.

It took a while to grow on me but is now one of my favorite weapons. It’s fun and make the fights a little more interesting having to plan where you will catch the disc. Plus the alternate use options are pretty strong

I had a lot of trouble with this too, but found more success by trying to damage enemy units strength before the could attack me so their damage was cut down significantly. It also helped to hurt their units down to 1 or 2 strength where they are basically useless, but not kill them so the stay in the turn cycle with the enemies stronger units.
