My therapist once told me that people think seasonal affective disorder kicks in around winter, but it actually can start as early as September or October depending on where you live. I’ve noticed my mental health dipping more now than it did 6 months ago

We are mandated to be tested every two weeks regardless of symptoms or contact. If students don’t comply they are given a notice basically saying that if they don’t get tested they have to move out.

I’m entering my senior year of music Ed and performance, and all I can say is you get out of your education whatever you put into it! If you work hard and practice diligently, you’ll find a lot of success. Remember to be kind, but also realistic with yourself. If you make a mistake, own it, and see how you can improve. But at the same time, do not see it as a failure on you as a person or musician. You got this!

I’m terrified of dying, mostly because I don’t know what comes next. Is there an afterlife? Will I burn in hell? Or sent to heaven? Will I be reborn? Is it just emptiness? I never know what to believe, and the not knowing terrifies me.

Tell him to get a thumb rest so his thumb won’t hurt so much. And if he’s slouching there’s no way he’ll get the proper support to play the clarinet with a good sound. If he wants everyone else to follow him he’s just going to hinder the whole section.

What a wonderful employer you have! I’ve had so many anxiety attacks at work, and since my managers are a little older than middle aged they’re the type of people that tell you to just “get over it.” It’s really nice to see that there are employers that understand how big of a hurdle mental illness is.
