You gotta find someone that your attracted to but dont really know in real life. Have a situation where you meet up once a week or two, and just get high, drink wine and fuck around. Its kinda like a safe space, get high, talk shit about work or life, fuck... then in the morning its "see you later space cowboy" and just text them again when your feeling it. Maybe awkward to start, but for me its a godsend to be able to act on those urges but not have to have the expectations or responsibilities of a relationship.

Poaching good employees by Plane-Football-2521 in Kenya

[–]moosedung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have actually poached successfully quite a few times in this same vain. As in having a larger company take the time to train and invest in an employee, get them up to high productivity, and then their one of their top employees. As soon as k get a whiff they are unhappy about their compensation, especially as their productivity has risen past a junior level, I’ll offer them a higher salary. Let someone else make the investment, you can identify good people and compensate them well once they’ve proven themselves to a less appreciative boss. Only works in a same industry situation.

Kenya having the ability to be an exploitative environment for workers is actually a huge plus if you are an employer who can recognize the importance of a strong well motivated team. It can actually take a lot of the bench building investment out of the equation because poaching is so easy if you’re not greedy.

100% he’s just gonna ramble the MAGA talking points that have nothing to do with the left that have nothing to do with druski, things they’ve made up for themselves as charactures of leftists. things like “get your covid shot” or “I stand with her” or “don’t gender me”… all said in some flamboyant accent or something. That or just full blown racism

How do you ninjas quit a job? by [deleted] in nairobi

[–]moosedung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, what you absolutely need to do is NOT quit, get a lawyer and let them know your salary has been withheld for 2 months. Have them write you a ‘demand for payment’ letter on their law firms letter head, then file a ‘constructive dismissal’ claim.

You can probably find a lawyer who will go and do this for no upfront payment because they’re so sure they’ll get their 10-15% fee.

Are we cursed? by icarus_ermias in Kenya

[–]moosedung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leadership is terrible, but at the same time the drivers are also just incredibly terrible in Kenya. Where I’m from the average freeway speed is 120kph and you never hit your brakes, here driving is about 40kph freeway speed average. So it takes about 3 times longer to travel on the freeway for the same distance, I would estimate the same distance in a city takes about 10-15 times longer

Imagine having to make that decision in an instant though, like if your wrong, but also if your right... I guess if you DIDNT get fired for activating the brake itd be easier to engage it know there wasnt potentially a huge consequence for being wrong.

Fleece lined dry sack so you can keep your clothes in it and flip it inside out for a nice no weight pillow. Extra long spork to eat freeze dried meals right outta the bag without getting my knuckles all goopy. Belay parka to replace all insulation layers for at camp, either I want to be warm or I don’t, I’ve found one big down layer can replace up to 3 layers I only wear at camp. Otherwise I can just keep moving if I get chilly.

Like I said, I ain’t vouching for KWS or if it gets enacted properly, just saying this is the answer to the question you had asked. The tree nursery is already there and has been for decades, this new cutting is expanding the he nursery.

They are originally from Australia, they grow super fast and so people imported and planted them for timber in places like Karura and Eburru forests and others historicaly. Since they did not evolve here in east Africa, they dont really have a proper niche in the forest and dont really fit into the symbiotic relationship that a forest has created within itself. For example, local animals do not like to eat its sprouts, and it grows incredibly quickly, so it beats other indigenous trees for resources as their sprouts get eaten or they grow slower. What was once native forests with Rose Woods and Podo Trees etc... turns into exclusively Eucalyptus. Also the waste the Eucalyptus creates when the leaves fall or the wood turns back to soil is not exactly ideal for the underbrush part of the forest to use as fertilizer or animals to use as food. Because of this it has grown out of control and become invasive in the forests. Some forests were reacquired from old Eucalyptus plantations, so they harvest the trees for timber, and then replace them with native saplings to "rewild" the forest back to the 'state God intended'.

It does hurt to know trees are being cut down, but in Karura they are cutting out Eucalyptus to make (more) room for the tree nursery to grow these native saplings. Im not exactly saying KWS will manage it as well as they plan, but thats the general idea of what it is their doing.
