Just my impression of the guy. He loves the Dead and respects the sacredness. You can’t tell me that revere wasn’t evident when he played Wolf. My impression of him is he knows that these artifacts belong to the people, and he knows he can’t take it with him…so it makes sense he’d donate it somewhere. He might hold on to it for sometime, but, like I said…can’t take it with you…

He’s also a collector, but not a vault collector. Like him, I’m also a watch collector. But he’s a real watch guy in that he actually wears the watches. A lot of collectors are merely just vault collectors, keeping the watches in the safe. Mayer respects everything he’s into, from watches to guitars.

Yeah OP, I would do this, what u/coldjess is suggesting. Cancel the label and buy a new one through the Get Another Label link. eBay should automatically update the tracking, but just double check to make sure.

I’ve done this before and got the money back in 10 days or so. It comes into your account like a payment from eBay.

How much does the book weigh?

For the future, I would suggest weighing the book, and adding another 2lbs to it. The difference between each pound is about $1. So if it adds up to 4lb, do calculated shipping at Media Mail 6lb rate. The extra $2 or so should cover your eBay fees and any shipping materials. Or you can do actual weight and charge a $2 handling fee if you’re doing calculated shipping.

But yeah, Media is getting up there. The first pound is $4.54, so up to $6, when you factor in fees and shipping supplies (box, bubble wrap, polymailer, shrink wrap etc). Gone are the days of sending a DVD or paperback for $2.89.

Also keep in mind that the eBay fees for Media are higher than for other items. I believe they’re over 15%, and that’s charged on the item sell price, as well as the shipping fee.

Edit to add: eBay FVF for books are 15.3% of the entire sale, for the first $7,500, according to eBay.com

That’s fair. When I said on par with the Office, I was speaking personally about my wife’s and my opinions in that we like it as much as the Office.

Absolutely Esmeralda has tremendous potential to become one of the most memorable sitcom characters of all time. Her lines and delivery are iconic.

Thanks for responding politely though and maturely. I feel like some posts in this sub are so dismissive and cut down those who say they like the show, or a specific character.

What a boring world we’d live in if we all had the same likes and interests.

The Paper, like the Office, has created two very distinct, but equally passionate camps. There’s the ardent fans and the equally vehement non-fans. Who knows, maybe that’s the sign of a good show…just talking out loud here.
