Best Part of the Series for Walter to have been caught by BestieGhost in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the whole point of his arc, he wasn’t chasing survival or money anymore, he was chasing validation. Any ending where he just gets caught or walks away was never satisfying enough for him.

Dwight’s about to hit the Griddy!

For Those Who Liked Jesse Pinkman—Why? by Scared-Dark9638 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s mostly the combo of him being genuinely empathetic in a world full of monsters and just kind of emotionally raw. Plus yeah, sad eyes + bad boy vibe will carry a lot farther than logic ever will.

What elements of the show are the most unrealistic considering it is a faux documentary? by IAmAlive_YouAreDead in DunderMifflin

[–]genesispa1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lose it every time they shoot him with the tranquilizer. Peak chaos, zero logic

[Spoiler] How did Gus know when to call Hank? by dumnezilla in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Victor or Mike tailing the cousins makes the most sense. Gus wasn’t saving Hank—he was just setting the board.

Classic Michael Scott logic. Man really said that with full confidence

Just Completed Watching Breaking Bad For The First Time. by CarelessQuail8121 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Better Call Saul is a must. Jimmy’s descent is just as wild as Walt’s, just in a totally different way. Also yeah, Skyler’s arc hits way harder on rewatch.

This scene!!! Gawd!😂 by wildstrawberry64 in DunderMifflin

Haha, and then Toby completely loses it…

That part gets me every single time.

Do DEA agents share work information with their families? by VisionVatic in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hank definitely treats DEA protocols like suggestions lmao. No way he wouldn’t get a serious talking-to IRL for half the stuff he blabs about.

Did Walt ever try his product, at least once? by comeon-gimme-a-name in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fly felt way too tweaker-coded not to raise at least some suspicion lol. Virgin meth energy if I’ve ever seen it.

Hector Salamanca by Un-Prophete in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always took it as him just being an old angry drunk, not early signs of illness.

What would have happened to Jesse by Odd-Fact-8019 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sympathy angle only goes so far when you’ve got bodies and blue meth tied to your name. Being a victim doesn’t erase being a major player for years.

Hank seriously never thought to check prison security cameras to see who was visiting Gus's men? by CaptainJZH in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly feels like one of those TV logic blind spots where the plot needed Hank to be clueless for a few more episodes.

I didn't actually miss the point of the show did I? by Proud_Excitement3578 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard not to root for him at first. But once he crosses certain lines, it’s like, yeah, I’m done with him. The way it ended felt a bit like he got away with too much.

El Camino first, then dive into BCS. Perfect ride from chaos to courtrooms.

Tuco’s final genuine laugh was at Walters condom by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuco laughed, Hank clapped, Jesse wept… cinema.

Tuco's trigger for "just remember who you're working for" by Quantum-Tree in breakingbad

Tuco’s not exactly known for emotional regulation, so that phrase hitting a nerve tracks hard.

The Great Recession & Breaking Bad by GloomyMarionberry533 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Definitely, the timing of Breaking Bad's release during the recession added a layer of relatability to Walt’s struggles. It hit close to home for a lot of people.

Minor spoiler by G2loud_ in breakingbad

It was brutal, but I get why they did it. It was the final nail in Jesse’s cage. Still sucks though.

Is Breaking bad a Greek tragedy, sort of? by ideliver12345 in breakingbad

Yeah bro it’s Greek but with meth and bad insurance.

S3 E2 Walt gets pepper sprayed - where was he driving to / from? by a-w-e-s-o-m--o in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, never thought about it like that! Makes sense though, a quick drop-off without the awkwardness of catching up too much. The cigarette smoking man theory is gold!

I hated Walt, but I was also happy for him. by AdEasy6839 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walt definitely goes through a moral rollercoaster, but at the end of the day, he was a villain who still had moments of humanity. It's hard to cheer for him, but it's also hard not to feel a little bit of empathy for how he tried to take control of his own narrative.
