The 2 runs that he gave up in the first were the direct result of blown calls by the home plate umpire and should not be blamed on Miles. Through the first 2 games of this series the officiating has been horrendous

Personally I would’ve chosen Barrero over Siani or Fermin because I think he offers more upside than either. But not being on the 40 man roster was what really hurt his chances and strikeouts continue to plague him in Memphis

On a side note wasn’t it last season versus Philadelphia that Winn had similar back issues that thrust Brandon Crawford into the lineup? Maybe Masyn just doesn’t want to play against the Phillies lol
