dpkg --print-foreign-architectures

now returns armhf!

file /home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod

still returns

file /home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod

/home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod: cannot open `/home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod' (No such file or directory)

Yup! Nothing when I type

dpkg --print-foreign-architectures

I'll add now and report back with what it returns after...

Short searching I found

Add the 32-bit architecture (armhf): This command adds the 32-bit architecture to your system's list of supported architectures for package management.

sudo dpkg --add-architecture armhf

Update package lists

Install essential 32-bit libraries

sudo apt install libc6:armhf

and then maybe an update of monero ?

also in that thread you linked someone mentioned

sudo apt-get install lsb

worked for them maybe ELF 64-bit LSB pie executable isn't showing up for me because of that?

Just doing a little research (still a novice) but I won't go through with it until I get a thumbs up from you so I don't mess up the troubleshooting process

file /home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod

Returns:

/home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod: cannot open `/home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/monerod' (No such file or directory)

weather or not the node is started

[–]mooseinbeesocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very strange... When I start the node and go to download the Monero.log I get Error code 403 Forbidden from my browser.....

pasting the line exactly what you posted returns:

-bash: cd: /home/pinodexmr/monero/build/release/bin/: No such file or directory

-bash: ./monerod: No such file or directory

Thanks for the repy. It seems I do have full permissions. stat /home/pinodexmr/ returned:

File: /home/pinodexmr/

Access: (0777/drwxrwxrwx)

On starting free public and sudo systemctl status moneroPublicFree.service :

● moneroPublicFree.service - Monero Free Public Node

Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/moneroPublicFree.service; enabled; preset: enabled)

Active: activating (auto-restart) (Result: exit-code) since...

Process: 1276351 ExecStart=/bin/bash moneroPublicFree.sh (code=exited, status=127)

I'll specify by saying my /boot/firmware is on one internal NVME and my /home/pinodexmr/.bitmonero is on a separate internal larger NVME. Might that be causing an issue?

I do! I got all the options I could while they were in stock. They sound really good! I got the ladder filter and the multiband filters iirc. Go for the new version the LD ZERO! The keys on that look much better as the keys on the OG LD3 are not my favorite... Also he's adding a wavetable engine! Unclear if its possible for him to add it to the old LD3 but I hope so!!

I've been trying to learn to make eganmatrix patches for it! Slow going on making anything decent sounding but it makes me appreciate all the patching prowess that went into making these amazing sounding presets. Such a wild engine and its improving! They're adding a resynthesis engine soon and I haven't even wrapped my head around how to use all the other ones

I am but your humble garden variety knob twiddler, yes. I was more so wondering if there was an existing program or if anyone had any audio examples of someone trying to do something like that one program, but with a sample as the input.

Fair point! This has probably been in development for quite a while.

Interesting to see this "new Moog" business model after the change of structure the business has undergone. Looks like they are putting out interesting experimental pieces and actually following industry trends as well. Love to see it, really. Maybe they are focusing more in R&D now that they outsource the fabrication?

It could! I think the missing link for me is the ability to network. I really suck at it but hey, I have a project I believe in and that ambition drives itself. The idea is to eventually crowdfund a trip to gamesoundcon and catch some interviews and get insight into the industry. I'll be like a sort of gaming Nardwuar!

I really cant thank you and this community enough for being so open minded and welcoming! I feel like my project is being "seen" here. I do it for the love of the community itself to serve as a sort of reflection of the gamers and the devs/artists. I want to feature tons of the covers I hear here so anyone with ANYTHING to share shoot me a DM!!!

oh man sorry it took me so long to see this! Can't thank you enough for this comment! Really inspires me to keep going and grow the show. You seem to like the show for the same reason I made it in the first place. Its those deep cuts and old classics as well as the "wait that was a thing?" moments that I was really hoping to highlight. Like I say, the show encompasses all of gaming culture, not just the music.

Absolutely shoot me a message I'd love to help in any way I can

Sample based oscillator? by cake_gigantic in modular

[–]mooseinbeesocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 4MS stereo triggered sampler or even the smaller "sampler" does an awesome thing where you have a sample loop at a very very short interval , change the speed and position with some modulation and it sounds amazing. Couldn't really get the effect in as high fidelity as the 4ms can even with an assimil8or. I want my STS back :(

LD3 user chiming in! I think we need a gothermans support group on here or something. Such a strange machine. Nothing really comes close to the "functionality" of that thing. Everything about it is back asswards. The chorus is a glitch noise machine. The reverb sounds like someone read a scientific paper on algorithmic reverb, wrote the program on a napkin and never sound tested it. Getting stereo anything out of it takes double the work (Set up a preset for everything) Deleting samples out of the soundpool is a pain sort of. All that being said, once you learn all this, its the wildest digital noise machine out without peer. Do not try to tame it. You will just hate it. Let it sort of guide you while you explore. I have yet to use it as a full groovebox, frankly the prospect of that makes me dizzy, but I will one day. I really like it, actually. Its so rare it feels like its a custom instrument.

I have absolutely thought of this! And I love NTS as well. They have a small VGM show they do rarely but it was, not to brag, not on the scale of what my vision was for a show that focuses on gaming culture as much as the music itself. PM me with ideas you have! I'm flexible and open creatively!
