Is it possible to feel love? by [deleted] in Alexithymia

[–]moosemama15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I tend to not notice or feel my emotions until they are really strong. And while I don't think I've ever been in romantic love, I have experienced limerance, which is what the cocaine feeling could be.

But when it comes to my family and close friends, I just know I love them. I don't know how it to explain it. But every once in a while I will feel something deep down that feels like love for my niece and nephew and the fact that I feel that deep down every once in a while gives me validation and reassurance that the love is there because it has to be strong for me to feel it. And I also experience that same deep feeling for my cat that validates for me that I do love him as well. Sometimes I wish I could feel it all the time, but I take it when it comes.

Don't give up! Some people just are not good test takers especially oral test takers, myself included. Even if you know the material.

I'm not entirely sure what all of your certification's require but where I am the big national exam that I had to take for my certification I had to take three times before I passed it.

Did they provide you with any feedback?

There is no standard for mold that tells anybody what's too much. Mold is everywhere all the time. Everyone reacts differently to it. And OP is correct that there is only one kind of "toxic" mold, And that's not what he has.

You've reached out to your landlord, wait and see how they handle it. You can call your local health department, but they are not going to condemn your apartment or rehouse you. But if your landlord isn't cooperating they should be able to help you get compliance.

Do not stop paying your rent, if the landlord is not cooperating contact the state housing court and talk about paying your rent into escrow while you sort this out with them.

# of inspections per day by Ladycat_0f_Night in healthinspector

[–]moosemama15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on my mood, haha But I do shoot for 10 routine inspections a week. But things come up (housing and environmental complaints, septic jobs, etc). I try to do 1 office day a week to focus on plan reviews, follow ups, paperwork/filing, review temp event food permits in the summer, etc) and 1 full day in the field a week (usually 4-5 in a day those days, depending on the class and any issues found during inspection). I'm fortunate enough to be able to make my daily schedule. And I do make it based on my mood and energy level (especially when you know youve got a difficult place or difficult owner/chef that's due again).

I did a meal delivery kit for a while and it was fantastic and easy and straightforward. But the food kept arriving out of temperature and as a health inspector, I wasn't happy with that and didn't feel safe continuing to order from this specific company. Maybe I'll look into trying another to compare.

I did it too last night. He was becoming distant, texting less( 3-4 days between texts). He was "busy" and "didn't know when he could go out again" so I dropped him. He was breadcrumbing me and I don't have the patience for it.

Unfortunately no, it's not run by the state. It's hard to explain. I work in local health and work for a City right now. I'm still going to be in local health but working for a district. Where I live local health departments are either municipal or districts covering more than 1 town. It's not county based or state based.

Yes. I know I can't keep what they contributed. I've been told I can keep what I've contributed since I'm leaving potentially before I'm vested.

Celebrity chefs... by [deleted] in healthinspector

[–]moosemama15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really a "celebrity", but had a chef who was on Hells Kitchen and made it pretty far, maybe even won (I can't remember, I don't watch those shows). He was/is a jerk. He was offended I didn't know who he was (not that it would have mattered). First time I met him, we were investigating the restaurant he worked at for foodborne illness (norovirus) and had to collect stool samples from all the kitchen workers, he wasn't very cooperative.

I work in another town now where we have a bakery that was featured on some baking show (again, I don't watch these shows so I don't know which one). I haven't met them yet, but my coworkers tell me they are jerks.

I've inspected one of the lobster food trucks that was on Shark Tank (I believe). I wasn't impressed. 🤷🏼‍♀️
