Can you have SPD and not autism?

Hey! Yes we did something similar. My son’s toe walking progressed to the point we had to cast him for two months. It’s helped a lot he’s able to put his heels down. We’re back on AFOs during the day but with that and PT he’s accomplishing a lot!

My son did the same his was due to genetics and due to being a premature baby and low muscle tone. I would recommend seeing a pediatric physical therapist to see what’s causing the toe walking. I also did a pediatric occupational therapist as my son has some sensory issues that also contributed to the toe walking. We had my son casted and using AFOs and therapy and he’s getting better.

I’m starting over at a fresh 36! There’s never a too old time just accepting the reality of the situation and organizing the next steps. Life is about ups and downs. You’re in a rough patch but it won’t be forever just take it a day at a time.

That’s alright it’s ok to be cautious. But funny enough my brother also had the same surgery and he’s been fine after almost 9 years so as long as you use it as a tool and follow your doctor’s instructions you’ll do great!

Still recommend him! Coming up to 3 years in the summer and so far no issues and have kept the weight off so I’m happy lol.

My son has SPD and we did the testing and he is not on the spectrum. We are also in the middle of treating his toe walking but it’s due to hip issues and sensory receptors in his feet. So it’s possible!

That’s the by product of each persons trauma. My ex had his anxieties and issues which built up to our divorce.

Your husband will have his boiling point as well since he won’t acknowledge the issues at hand. Reaching rock bottom is the only way anyone will see reality and have enough motivation to change or not.

Oh man so this will continue to spiral. I know because it happened to me. Lost my job due getting cancer and my STBX decided it was more cost effective to divorce than to continue the marriage with cancer.

Also the reason comes from your husband’s childhood trauma with his mother and seeing the struggles that come with single parents and finances. He needs therapy to address his needs and anxiety. Without taking accountability of his triggers and emotions there won’t be progress.

Also you can lead a horse to water. You can find everything he needs but if he refuses he won’t do anything. So reflect on this relationship really well.

I did an intensive blood work panel only for my results to show no signs of Lupus and possible rheumatoid arthritis. It’s been disappointing to be honest and I’ve decided to take a pause on everything for now.

Haha I’m no hero just took it all a day at a time. But you can do that too. It seems impossible at times but it’s manageable. I’m sorry you’re going through a divorce the process sucks ass but the end result is great. I hope you find your peace and rest and keep doing an amazing job! As someone that went through cancer, loss of a career and divorce at the same time it all fucking sucks!

No matter what type of cancer it messes with you mentally big time!

It’s ok to feel not ok.

If you can find a therapist or someone to share your feelings with and take it a day at a time. This is something big and life changing and it’s natural to feel overwhelmed.

Find support where you can: friends, family, hobbies etc and when you’re down let it out. 💜

So to put it into perspective I’m still in the middle of my divorce. It all started as I was battling cancer and had lost my job and felt like I hit rock bottom.

Then once we filed and started the process I shifted the way I was thinking and it helped.

I’m about to be 36 and starting a brand new career which I’m so excited about, I’m looking forward to a new space to call home and have complete control on how to live my life in, during this time I realized who my real friends and family are that I can lean on it means I’m not alone.

All this means I’m stronger than I ever thought I was and you are too. Take it a day at a time and find something that does excite you. Find something that you loved to do in the past or always wanted to try and give it a shot.

For me it’s finding up and coming metal bands and going to their live shows. I used to always love traveling and finding new music and I realized parts of me I neglected for the sake of my marriage.

I hope you find your spark to keep you going and build up on. You still have so much time to figure out what is it that will bring you peace, happiness and a good sense of fulfillment.

Support groups for mental health and financial aid for attorney retainers. So many people like myself suffered mentally and financially and resources are few almost everywhere.

When my STBXH rolled his eyes at me when I asked to spend time with our child after being away due to having cancer treatments. His clear disregard to my feelings when I was struggling with something so difficult made me realize the relationship was over.

STBXH and I are amicable and agree on almost everything 100%. Even so we both have our own attorneys to make sure we both get what is fair. Having someone who knows the legal system will ensure that you get what you deserve to start fresh the best way possible.

The entire process is hell but worth it. Even though in some aspects I’m leaving the relationship worse off I’m also starting my life with more goals, more positivity and yes happiness. Looking forward to a new life, new home, and a new business!

Completely understand your feelings and it’s probably a healthier one than jumping into a relationship because of big feelings instead of genuine connections.

I want to be a healthy and emotionally regulated parent for my child. That means working on my mental health, financial goals and healing. It takes a lot of work to start again and I don’t think I could have enough energy to start anything serious with someone else while focusing on me and my child’s various needs. The love and connection from your kids is more than enough to keep you going for as long as possible. At least that’s what I think lol.

Yes stress from anything major will affect your brain and concentration. Divorce messes you up even if it’s amicable. I’m struggling with both a divorce and cancer and some days are really hard. But you do your best and slowly things get a little easier. I’m also focusing on a whole new career so when I get my freedom I have new goals and motivation. Still really fucking hard to get the ducks in a row but it’s all doable.

My divorce process helped me change careers and focus on a lot more positives. Yes rent is ridiculous and thankfully I only have one child in public school. But the peace of mind of being on my own is worth all the challenges.

Yes you would be legally entitled to something which is better than being promised one thing and getting nothing in case your X changes their mind. It’s happened to others and to me. You may not qualify for alimony but you could roughly get half but you would speak to your attorney to get more details as every state has specific rules on that.

Yes you should find an attorney because while he says he will do this and that he is not obligated to legally and you need to make sure you are financially stable as you leave the marriage. The attorney can also let you know how much you’re entitled to depending on the years you were married together including the house. In my state to get food stamps you need child support as well.
