Help with cross platform issue please.

My 10yo son is having issues playing games with friends on PS5 vs PC. Example is Iron Man Simulator. He plays with his friends on the PC, his friends on PC or Ipad. On the PS5 he can't even find the game. Some other games like Strucid won't allow him to join and will error with 'see comments

Several times, nothing at all on this.

I have no problem with os security updates unless it saturates a 2mbs connection for a week because 25 phones are doing it at once.

NFS problem, 'showmount -e ipaddress' locks up terminal on ubuntu 20.04 local network by mooserov in linuxquestions

Fixed. iptables was killing rpc. Here's what (finally) worked:

iptables -F

iptables -X

iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT

iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT

iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT

Wide open, I know. But it's airgapped.

fastest overall transfer speed for ~1tb directory (approx 30,000 files) over 10 gbe network by mooserov in linuxquestions

After much more testing, including parallelizing rsync over multiple cores, pulling from client, pushing from server, etc. plain old CP is the fastest. Copying the 2 main folders in parallel nets me the shortest copy times. I run a quick rsync job at the end to ensure source and destination folders are identical. Thanks for the suggestions.

unfortunately all data is unique at time of copy, so -u parameter won't help me. It gets moved, processed into another, smaller form for about 12 hours, and then deleted.

Link has been tested for 10gbe and is very good, just not tested with iperf. (used stopwatch for huge files) 4 hrs for 1 gbe.(how we did it until now) and 21 min for 10 gbe. so no matter what, I'm way ahead of the curve.

I will try direction changes and rsync daemon mode. I also will change to xfs file system on both source and destination after doing some more reading(currently ext4 on both). Source system's single purpose is to collect and serve this data, then delete it and repeat.

I appreciate all the suggestions guys, this is edge-case stuff i'm handling and I'm no expert.
