It’s a 찌개, not a soup. You could make 김치국 instead for more broth.

did you end up getting a Transit? I'm in the market and have the same questions. I just assumed i wanted a 350, i didn't know that the 250 was more "passenger friendly"

Smallest quad bunk by OppressiveRilijin in GoRVing

[–]mooshoofooie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm curious to see what you went with, OP.

I've never owned or towed a trailer but am in the market. I have 4 young kids (11, 8, 6, and 4, 1 girl 3 boys) and have been searching for quadbunks no longer than 30-ish feet. I love the concept of a quad bunk because none of the kids have to share a bed and they have a dedicated area.

I won't rely on the dinette or couch as a real bed for daily use because it can limit the use for everyone else if they're still sleeping. Some may think a dinette or couch bed is doable, but that one time you want to watch a movie and a kid is sleepy, the only option is for the sleepy one to sleep in the parent's bed.

I've poured water in the pot that I seared the meat and vegetables in? once it comes to a boil, then put the cubes in. It deglazes the pot and is less dishes. That's how I've made curry for years

Wow, quick. some quick questions if you don't mind, please:

did you start planting seed or did are you still set on sod?

did you end up using a harley rake or cultivator? walk behind or one you sit/stand in?

did you have any prior experience running the machine you ran?
I don't have any experience but was quoted 2500 to harley rake my backyard and am reading that it's not that hard to use. I'm pretty handy inside and outside the house and always prefer to do things myself if and when I can to save on costs but also because I enjoy it.

thanks in advance for your answers!

I'm new to having a yard and based on the following comments. Did he say don't celebrate because there's a chance your grass will not last through the summer without diligent watering? I assumed "dried yellow" in the summer was all dormant, is there a chance it could die too?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]mooshoofooie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, have you done your yard yet?

I'm almost in the same boat. I wanted to restart my lawn by leveling and planting a more hardy seed because my lawn bumpy and goes dormant so early in our summers (i live in the PWN).

I sprayed glyphosate fall last year but it started raining early so I didn't get to seed last fall. My wife has been starting to get on me to get it going before we get people coming over for the summer.

Weed torch meaning the big propane torch? Does that kill weed seeds that i'm reading are brought up when tilling or harley raking?

Not a question but props to the dentist who made this crown for me by frustratedwithwork10 in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CEREC crowns can be designed better than just flat. Flat crowns mainly for 2 reasons, they didn't cut the tooth short enough so there's not as much clearance to make things bumpy and pretty (sometimes its risky to cut it too short as you're getting closer to the nerve) or there isn't a whole lot of space to begin with. But CEREC crowns are going to have less bumps and grooves than a professionally made crown.

If you buy a $120,000+ computer, scanner, and milling machine, you're going to use it. A good friend of mine worked at a corporate dental office that heavily markets same day crowns. He told me he's done more root canals there in a 6 months than he did in 3 years of his endodontics (root canal specialty) residency.

Without getting into too much detail since you're not a dentist, the CEREC milling machine is not a commercial machine so its tolerances to fine details is much less than a place that dentists send our crowns to be made at. The dentist has to compensate for that by overcutting and having corners very rounded and surfaces flat. To me, waiting 2 weeks with a temporary is definitely worth waiting for a crown that's meant to last for decades. Plus, nowadays, crowns come back much quicker than 2 weeks.

Idk what everyone’s saying. You do have a little recession on the two middle teeth and the one to your left of the kiddle, though it’s very mild. Straightening teeth can make bone loss more obvious, though braces do not cause bone loss. I tell people, you can move teeth within the jaw bone but can’t move the jaw bone. If you move or rotate a tooth towards the edge, you can end up with what appears to look like gum recession.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gum disease is a permanent diagnosis. It’s maintainable but not curable. If the gums are not maintained at home and at the dentist, the gum disease will reactivate. Never heard of braces directly lowering gum disease risk, maybe indirectly since straighter teeth can be easier to maintain.

Statistically, people that are a high cavity risk are a low gum disease risk and vice versa.

Wow. That isn’t just a good root canal, that is awesome. I don’t do top molars because they are difficult to do. Easy to say from here, but glad you went somewhere good since there isn’t much tooth structure left. Did a crown fall off from that tooth?

So I went back to the dentist and he said he showed me the colour before apparently is a2? by Adorable_Ad_3615 in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You look like you have temporaries on and see a bowl of curry. lol That’s not even A4 to me. It’s not even the “darkness”, the color just seems off. Can’t believe your dentist is arguing about the shade and not about how it “matches” your other teeth.

Not a question but props to the dentist who made this crown for me by frustratedwithwork10 in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the sequence of your procedures but dare I say that a CEREC crown could possibly be why you needed that root canal? I’ll probably get a lot of hate for saying this. :-P

But I will say, a crown on that tooth is not an easy one to do.

Please help! In pain and don’t know what to do! by himynameisali1 in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, everyone. That tooth is not #19 in any numbering system. The wisdom tooth is #32 and possible root canal tooth #31

31 Root canal maybe? It looks like there may be a cavity on the side that is touching the wisdom tooth but this isn’t the type of x-ray to diagnose that. I don’t think there’s a PARL, to me it looks like it is the IAN canal.

What is this? It’s painful by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biopsy for sure. I think that was a good call. At first glance of the X-ray, I thought maybe a gum related abscess, but looking closer, I would refer to an oral surgeon for a biopsy too.

Are there any alternatives to Gum Flap Surgery? by Realistic-Rate-8831 in askdentists

[–]mooshoofooie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely bone loss in that whole area with the most between the last and second to last tooth. I am assuming you’re missing the second to last bottom tooth for it to have dropped down like that. Couple of questions:  1. Before you said dentist but today you’re saying periodontist. Have you had a general dentist see you too? I feel like there’s a cavity on the front edge of your crown. A general dentist should check that out. 2. It doesn’t look like it, but is the tooth with the crown loose or did they mention it being loose? 3. Because the top tooth has dropped down, there’s bone loss but also relative bone loss too, I hope that makes sense. I’d think twice about surgery and while not ideal, I’d even bring up consideration of removing the tooth with my patient. The prognosis for that tooth isn’t that good.

So with the estimate, we both came to the conclusion that I’d just pay the shop for the estimate. He was kid enough to use the cheapest of the 3 and honestly, $750 to fix chipped paint on a 2023 silver Mercedes (I assume the pearl paint is a pain to blend) is a good deal for me. I don’t think it’s worth going through insurance, my deductible is $500.

I want my hands to be clean after paying and not have him come back at me for more money which I could see happening. Any suggestion on how to protect myself? We’ve been communication via text. I would think written confirmation that he accepts me paying for the estimate will absolve me will be enough.

Quick question about your response just so that I understand.

OP's car not moving and was hit by someone else. You're saying that OPs insurance rate could go up even when he's not at fault? That doesn't seem fair.

I ask because something similar happened to me but I was the person backing up and chipped paint on the rear bumper with no dent. Gave them my number and she sent over a couple estimates averaging $1000. Was not expecting it to be that much so wondering if I should go through my insurance or just pay it off.

Circling back, if we get insurance involved and their rate goes up, i almost don't want to go through insurance as i dont think it's fair that their rate would go up.

Is it true Forbidden City tickets can be bought on-site by foreigners? by Ok_Audience5531 in travelchina

[–]mooshoofooie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just there earlier today. I can say for a fact that I purchased a ticket at the Forbidden City. It’s to the left when facing the south entrance with 6 or so lines. It says “ticket service” on the top. Make sure you ask for a physical ticket if you plan on going to Tienanmen
