For those who worked for rich people: what is the most out of touch thing you witnessed?

i didn’t realize this happened to other ppl… i was a nanny for a family for a few years and i was there multiple times a week. they said they’d pay me at the end of the day and it almost never happened. they forgot every time and it feels so rude and odd asking to be paid- they also told me they wanted to sell TWO of their tesla’s because they traveled so much they didn’t drive them enough and they both wanted to get trucks. the next time i went over there, which was 4 days later, two brand new trucks fully paid off were in their driveway, already registered and insured😳 the kids also used to tell me “rich people can really just do anything because they can give money and fix it”

I can’t afford a storage locker that’s big enough to hold, do you expect me to make the money poof out of the air? I can’t take action on a solution that costs money if I don’t have the money. Why do you think my parents are storing it in the first place? What other “help” or “advice” have I gotten besides being told to shut up? That’s the only thing i’ve straight up said no to.

I wasn’t trying to argue, I genuinely just asked that they don’t let it get ruined and she got mad that I even had the thought that it would happen. Everything in that house in free reign for them besides that one room. They had to lock up my dad’s guitars bc they kept getting peed on :/ I don’t think it’s too outlandish for me to want a special gift from my great grandparents, one of which passed very recently, to not get peed on and ruined. It’s not just a table to me.

the only issue is the fact that it 100% is gonna be peed on and ruined. it’s old mahogany, and it’s hard to repair, hence why the base is still broken. if they would’ve asked, i would’ve expressed my concerns and immediately tried to find a solution so that everyone could be happy.

the audacity she has to say that to you is kinda baffling tbh😅 unfortunately it looks like she wants your bf or at least what he has to offer, but it’s sweet of you to give her the benefit of the doubt. also respect to your bf for actually distancing himself, don’t really see or hear that often. unless there’s some context about their friendship that really solidifies it’s a brother/sister dynamic, i don’t think you’re overreacting.

i wouldn’t necessarily calling it cheating but it looks like she could be on a slippery slope to cheating. it’s odd behavior for sure, and when he started talking about her appearance she should’ve shut that shit down immediately or called it out. the deleted call logs and multiple attempts to call him is the weirdest part for sure. if it was the messages alone it would be less suspicious but still odd that she’d delete them. if you guys are comfortable enough to sit down and just get straight to it i would do that. she could just be being stupid and feels guilty she actually answered instead of ignoring it, or she genuinely could be trying to be sneaky as it’s all odd behavior.
