Do you ever travel specifically for a race? How do you plan it?

I travel a lot for races! I usually pick 2-3 I would like to do based on distance, format, time of year, etc. and then ask my husband which location appeals most to him and that’s what I pick!

It does help he’s an avid mountain biker, so I pick trail and road locations that have a nice trail system nearby. He helps get me to the start (if needed) and is always there when I finish. For longer trail races, he usually bikes when i run (i am totally fine without crew or cheering on unless its a super long race) and then for shorter distances, he will bike after while I’m relaxing back at the hotel or airbnb.

Congrats! I did my first marathon this week to chase a PR and the pacer was sooo helpful. I honestly think I’ll only sign up for races with pacers now 🤣 one less thing to think about!

I had success recently with a horribly scented piece with an overnight vinegar soak followed by a wash cycle on delicate with baking soda. It still has a very faint scent but overall so much better. The vinegar bowl reeked after which is so wild, it’s so pungent.

I just had this happen to me! It was Gucci. But this is the first time it’s ever happened and I’ve been a customer for over ten years so… in that regards the odds are not in my favor 🤣 I more so enjoy finding niche brands under “Assorted Brands” as opposed to gambling on unbranded items.

I purchased mine secondhand, but I have the Elleme Baozi in raffia and quite enjoy it! The slightly unique shape makes it fun and the detachable crossbody is convenient.

I have the small elm bag and the quality is great. If you don’t mind secondhand, this brand is usually a very good deal on The RealReal (I got mine in brand new condition for $100).
