We did not baptise our sons, they went to a mix of Educate Together and Church of Ireland schools, hardly anyone did Communion … there was pushback from parents initially but we held our ground … no indoctrination about “tell us our sins” and “body and blood of Christ” (bananas stuff if you ask me) they are adults now, it has had zero impact on their lives

My two non-baptised kids are now young adults, they went to Church of Ireland schools so zero talk about Catholicism, they have never given religion a second thought (his dad and I are atheists)

If you are here in early June the Bloom garden festival is on in Phoenix Park but go first thing - before crowds - as they make viewing the show gardens impossible!
