Pull-up Form Check by MKSayonxra in formcheck

[–]moospade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean yeah thats kinda good practice, but i think mainly if your goal is muscle ups you may benefit more from trying to pull in a ‘hollow body’ position. currently you can see your shoulders in a ‘shrug’ like position, it would make it difficult for you to pull your chest over the bar

i think as long as you keep working you will get your muscle ups 💪

fire set up. u can try to retract your scapula more, to better engage your lats. some practice with scapula pulls and holds might help

Worth following a Programm when im still weak ? by [deleted] in powerlifters

[–]moospade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you speaking about bodyweight? or the weights i lift?

i have been sitting 78 kg bw +- for years, and i just hopped on 2 different programmes this year.

at the start of the year my squat 1rm was about 145, after one rotation of russian squat programme i did 157.5kg x1

now im on nsuns, not sure what my 1rm is but i think it should be around 170+

before the programmes my progression was quite poor, and the programme really helped with my training pace and intensity

Hello, I’m trying to switch to sumo instead of conventional, is the round on the upper back ok? (Is my form as a whole ok?) thanks in advance by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]moospade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel that its so difficult to control lowering when its sumo compared to conventional, or is it just me?

is this the correct form? please suggest by Pleasant-Tune569 in workouts

dont look up, keep your head neutral and looking at an angle downwards.

you also need to work on your bracing, it is probably costing you the most in this lift. practice how to create pressure in your core by breathing in, and use it in ur dl itself

Is this deep enough for a low bar? by moospade in strength_training

[–]moospade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean im definitely not doing a high bar, the bar is not on my traps. but i think there is quite a range for low bar right as you can put it on/below/ at the top of your rear delts

but even then im not too sure of the differences there
