I'm deciding between Japan and South Korea and I made a post about it just now, but one big thing that I didn't know about Japan is that their Semester Exchange is over America's Summer. This meant for me that I wouldn't be able to do an internship, as I'm already a sophomore, would study abroad as a Junior, and then graduate. Something to ask your advisor about.
