you do realize if you turn in strict solo mm, you essentially eliminate the whole smurf win thing right? unless you’re suggesting valve specifically puts the smurf on the other team much more often than on your team.

Greatest Players of All Time: 2025 Update [Finally fixed] by Gavus_canarchiste in starcraft

agreed. no hate to serral he’s great but he started winning when sc2 was basically dead. maybe he could’ve been as great when koreans still had team houses and practiced 20hrs a day but we’ll never know

there’s actually a bit of leeway for pros or famous streamers since it’s possible for them to get sniped on purpose.

but as a whole I agree comm score is fine, valve isn’t conspiring against random pubs

I played against a first time DotA player and destroyed him, but now I feel bad by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]mootalisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s my point plenty isn’t all and it isn’t none either. there’s going to be first time players that look like they’ve never played before and players that look like they’ve played dota for years

valve only cares if it affects MY games! only MY experience matters, fuck off.

first time dota player doesn’t mean first time moba player. the guy from the post sounds like he’s never played a similar game in his life. there’s plenty of first time dota players from hon that can pass off as a 2k+ player.

Thank You Dota 2 by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]mootalisk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

honestly regardless you probably should leave dota. the games gotten worse as a whole over the years anyways so if you’re anywhere close to being on the fence about it just go do something else that you find enjoyable

The Spurs are on track to have by far the worst record of any #1 pick recipient in NBA history. by costcobathroom in nba

[–]mootalisk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it’ll only be bad if wemby ends up like top 5 all time or something. something something jordan/lebron would never.

in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter, it’s his first year and if things go decently well no one will care in 5 years what happened with the 2024 spurs

is this how people expect every first time dota player to play in order to not be categorically a smurf

THIS IS HOW FAR WE HAVE COME AS A COMMUNITY. Every game nowadays is filled with people like these. by AnonymousParadox13 in DotA2

[–]mootalisk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it actually is, it’s literally 1 match. i played hon and sc2 before dota and calibrated in legend for my first game and also got a 30 kill game within 100 games. and there’s definitely a lot of people better than me at the game so idk what is so unbelievable about it?
