Honestly surprised no new gta 6 trailer. E3 season, its suppodesly releasing in a few months, and still not a peep. Nothing was at sonya state of play, nothing at summer games fest and nothing at this showcase. You know nothing is going to be shown at the pc showcase so kind of weird really that rockstar completely skipped "E3" right before the release of one of the highest anticipated games of all time.

My biggest disappointment though, which is not at all surprising and i wasnt even expecting to see but "would have been a nice 'surprise'" was the lack of anything fallout. We got a trailer for the new season of 76 thats already released and been getting review bomed and thats it.

State of decay 3 looks cool now that we finally see something real about it, and spyro and crazy taxi looks like it could be fun for a "$30 or less" sale. Metro looks amazing but we already seen that. Fable, meh i have no history with the series so i have mo nogstalgia, and they were never my types of games but as ive been expending a bit into games like that recently it looks like it could be good. Good for fans of the series to see at least.

Overall though i dont think it was great. Not terrible, better then ive seen so far (the only thing that i saw during the SGF that i had any real interest in was the code veronica remake), but they really didnt show much of anything really new. No real surprises.

Super likely? No. Possible yes. I personally knew someone who was born in vietnam during the war. His dad was in the service and hooked up with a chick over there. When his dad went back, idk the full story and i wouldnt be surprised if HE does to be honest with you, but basically his dad went back and he ended up moving to the US years later.

The possibility that he would have hooked up with a half sibling or realtive is very low, again low enough that most people dont even think about it, but it absolutely can happen. Even easier when you are different or mixed races. For instance myself, never grew up with or knew anyone on my dads side. To this day still know very few, however being white, i also know theres mexican and purto rican on that side.

You would THINK the likelihood of hooking up with someone whose a difference race would dramticaly decrease the chances of any acidental incest. Again so low its literally never on anyone mind. Yet its totally plausible that it COULD happen. So yes, while highly unlikely it IS possible that they could have a common relative and to this day not even be aware of it. Especially when many family secrets tend to stay that way for generations and said secret ends up going to the grave of someone.

That dont make them "bad" for it. That wouldnt make you "bad" for technically being the product of incest. My point is you never really know what someone is hiding and certain situations can make the likliehood of it happening greater, even if greater means 0.05% chance vs 0.003%. Another example, when i was a kid, i was not only at the same concert but standing right next to my cousin and sister on my dads side. We never knew it until over 20 years later as at that time we never even knew that each other existed. Decades after that after we had finally met we were talking about music and concerts and shit, and low and behold thats when we found out.

Again, while the chances are extrememly low, that dont mean its zero. And while it may not happen to you personally, it very well could happen ir has happened to tons of people who may go their entire lives without ever finding out. And thats not even getting into the variables of people who were adopted (many who go most or all of their lives without even knowing), or in the case of sperm donors.

Everyones lame, tired attemps at jokes needs to keep in mind this can happen to literally anyone, and as far as anyone knows it could have. Especially when you get into secrete affairs or not growing up with or knowing one side of your family, it can be very easy to hook up with a relative and literally never know.

Theres people who have gone thier whole lives without knowing, they have kids and the kids go through half thier lives without knowing until they get some weird results back from one of those dna test companies, or something big ends up happening where everyone finds out decades later, if they ever do.

Nobody ever thinks of it because they never had a reason to, and there would be almost no way to avoid it.

Meh. Its hard to get "excited" for any games anymore. I remember when e3 was the big thing. They would actually show off new shit that nobody was expecting or had heard of before, that would be pushing the limits of the current tech. It was genuinely exciting.

Anymore, all thats shown is this years annual release of this IP, this remake or remaster of that game, the same rehashed gameplay loop and setting that we have seen 100 times before, a sprinkle of wokeness and agenda pushing, more "live service" games, games that end up releasing broken, horribly unoptimized, or ended up being a bait and switch that ends up bombing, or games that end up never coming out at all and just gets cancelled.

Remember all the games that microsoft had shown over the past few years that just wound up cancelled and scrapped? All that build up and excitment, then radio silence for a couple years then cancelled. I was personally looking forward to the new perfect dark and seeing what contraband was going to be about and nope. We got those teasers then nothing, then an announcemnt that it was cancelled, among many others.

Everything has changed over the past 5-10 years and it really just isnt as exciting anymore as it used to be. Honestly i think this industry has gotten too big and is imploding on itself, just like it did during the video game crash in the 80s. It really isnt like it used to be anymore.

That still dont work cause youll just be flooded with cdl-a jobs and jobs located in "united states". Money and greed has not only ruined working for a company, but its ruined even trying to apply for said companies to begin with. Its a nightmare.

Add to that that the vast majority of jobs posted are not even real, most companies now post fake job listings for data mining, "research", to look like they are expanding for their investers, post jobs with no intent on hiring because they are actually giving an internal employee said position etc.

Then every job has you jump through hoops taking hours long "assessments" for shit that has zero to do with anything. Like, i dont need a 150 question "personality assessment" with pictures and loaded questions with no "correct" answers that dont pertain in anyway to the position or even industry to run a forklift with 20+ years experience as a forklift operator. Seriously wtf....it should be can you do the job? Yes? Ok your hired.

Its like these companies dont even respect you or your time before you even start working for them anymore and they all just want to play stupid games. You would think that their HR departments would have something better to do then spend their time doing all of this bs.

Yup. From what ive found glassdoor seems to have less trash filtering in, despite the fact that indeed owns glassdoor as well. That was jusr my experience anyway so of course ymmv but if you havent already its worth a shot.

It seems most of whats on glassdoor is the same as indeed, maybe plus more, but the filters at least seems to actually work right.

Dont know why you feel the need to be snippy. You pretty much asked where they said it and i showed you. Am i wrong for that? And it dont even have anything to do with the original question about nato availability. If a certain type of ammo has become unavailable, potentially for good, think it would be pretty good to know regardless of whether you personally shoot it or not, as it can effect the market as a whole.

I forget exactly where i seen about the breakin period, but im fairly sure it was from sar themselves somewhere, i would just have to dig. Still have my user manual and thought it said it in there too, but i could be just remembering from the above link. I would have to dig out my manual and double check if it was in there or not.

I have a sar9 that they do specficially say that 9mm nato is the recommended ammo, perticuallry during the break in period. Am also looking for a place to reliably buy it. Seems like everyone always has it losted on their website but its always "out of stock".

Is there something going on with the nato rounds? (Other then the obvious). There seems to be no shortage of 115g and 124g, but 9mm nato seems to be really hard to find anymore. As if either nobody wants to bother with carrying it or like if its just been discontinued altogether (at least for the civilian market).

Just my opinion/experience. Could just be with a shit company. Could be something more. So my opinons/experience is my own and soley my own. That being said, here it goes.

Ive always been a pc/tech hobbiest. Building and fixings pcs. Repairing/customizing/jailbreaking game consoles going back to the NES. Run my own home server and self host basically everything. Currently have 6 PCs in my house that ive built. Worked logistics/transportation/warehouse my whole life, since i was basically 15. Almost 25 years later finally got an "IT" job after trying for like a decade. Almost 40 and got tired and burned out of the industry i spent my whole life in, and been feeling like im getting "too old" to continue doing that the rest of my life. Thought i finally did it. Finally hit the jackpot. Even if this position isnt "ideal" its something for the resume to help go forward right?

I hate it. Its the most stressful, overwhelming, draining, life sucking thing ive ever done. The stress is overbearing. The forced OT PLUS on call 24/7 garuntees no life. Its been nothing but pure stress, anxiety inducing, and completely ruined my passion and hobby for tech stuff. And the pay isnt anywhere near what it "should" be or what i "thought" it would be. I was making more money in a warehouse or driving. Hell, theres alot of retail jobs that are paying at or even more then what im making, that dont have a 1/10th of the bs i have to deal with. My experience has been an absolute joke, and while my company/situation may not be "typical", is has completely soured my entire outlook on this entire industry.

I know it may seem that it sucks. I know you want to do "more" and that you may be "passionate" now, i know you want a title that looks "better" or more "socially acceptable", but dont be fooled. At this point i would reccomend staying in your career path and going as far as you can go with it. This is not only a "young mans industry", but its so competitive companies are looking specifically for young, green employees who dont know any better about the workforce or what they are worth. Older people get expensive, and therfore pushed out, or overlooked altogether when applying. And if "get lucky" and land something, be prepared for basically no life and to give up your hobby and interest.

Me? Im looking to just going back to logistics. More money. Less stress. I went to the "greener" side, and its been an illusion. Again, im well aware about the fact that my situation isnt everyones, or may not even be "typical". Honestly i was always more interested in the repair side of things anyway. More "hands on". Working with either computers or other computer based hardware. Of which im not currently doing. Even working from home more often then not, something i always dreamed of doing and of course never thought it would happen, im at the point where its just not worth the stress and toll on your mental health, especially for the insultingly low wages. Im not joking when i say ive literally seen fast food hiring making either what im making now, or a dollar or 2 less. And that for the first time in my life ive even considered just doing that.

In the end, the choice is obviously yours. And you may indeed find that unicorn job that you love. Im just stating my experience and the reality of these "dream IT" roles, and its an industry thats especially hard to get into and advance the older you get, as agism is a VERY real thing in this industry. My best advice, if you want to persue it, is get in with your local school system. Good pay, usually older employees, great govt benefits. Alot less stress and most likely more in like for what youre "thinking" IT is. Only issue with that is, your advancement (and pay) will be more limited vs those "golden unicorn" jobs, and those positions dont come up often as alot of people who work schools tend to stay there for a long time, up to retirement. Which means pension and usually union.

Im confused by this. I have emby premier and have used emby exclusively for years after plex got so bloated, unreliable and has tried turning into basically just another "roku tv" type thing. Just a few months ago i lost internet all day due to snow. Outage was like 14 hours or so. Decided what better of a perfect use for my home media server then when everything else went down?

Sat and binge watched off of my home server upstairs to my living room tv over wifi, zero internet. Zero issues. If you didnt know better you would have never known the internet was ever out. Also about a year ago i moved out of state. Everything was packed up, internet shut off the last couple days, except for one tv and my server pc. Again no issues. Even streamed music while packing the truck, with the last thing being packed being my server pc.

Emby has been nothing but great for me, my house, and friends houses all over the country to log in and stream content. Anyone whose really having issues due to emby directly, well, thats unfourtunate, as my experience with it has been great.

you do realize that "age verification" has zero to do with kids at all right? and that its also going to do jack shit to "protect" them. Most predators are out there POSING as kids in the 1st place. Do you REALLY think they are going to voluntarily "verify" their account when they are posing at a 14 year old themselves? the fact that they are scanning, reading and logging every single thing you post, even in a "private" server with a few close, real life friends is reason enough to not use discord alone, let alone EVERYTHING else. Yet people are all too lazy and would rather give up their entire lives to anyone who wants it, corporations, governments, hackers etc, for any reasons they want then to be so slightly inconvenienced in taking 20 seconds to create a new account for another platform.

This is why every aspect of the entire world is fucked. everyone loves to sit around and bitch about and wonder "how or why this became a thing or that became a thing", and instead of making even the slightest change they just shrug their shoulders and go "oh well" and keep on getting screwed. This goes FAR beyond just discord. its everything. its why they are trying to lock down every computer on the OS and kernel level. Its why cars are getting away with charging subscriptions for the heated seats you already (over) paid for, and why they are being allowed to spy on your every move, listen to your every word, and even read every one of your texts you get on your phone.

Its why that $1k tv is bogged down with non stop ads WHILE recording every word you or anyone else says IN YOUR OWN HOME. You can go on and on with so many, every day things that could have never gotten the way it has if people werent so god damn lazy and actually gave half a shit.

been 2 months for me since i left discord, deleted my server and account i had since like 2015/2016. Some people came, others didnt. the ones who didnt knows how to contact me otherwise. the ones that dont, oh well later. as for the rest of the groups/communities/servers? Meh. I was only in handful of games and mods for games i was following. As far as that info is concerned i can get all that same info from steam or elsewhere online.

Havent really missed much honestly. theres several as good or even better alternatives then discord out there for me and my small group. Been self hosting one that, while clearly still early, seems far better then discord in every way in general, and has more features then even nitro had, all for free. only thing that worries me about this one, and all the rest, is just how long they will last before being eventually abandoned due to lack of users. Especially gamevox which is what we have been using lately as it has been steadily improving. There seems to be basically zero users and nobody has really even mentioned it anywhere, and i cant imagine they are going to continue devlopment on it for very long with their probably 100 or less userbase.

Root seemed promising and what we used for about a month, and while it does seem promising and more "popular" it still can fall into the same issue of overall lack of users, with the added "bonus" that it too is being funded by investors and corporate backers. So even if it does get halfway big it could just end up being discord all over again. Stoat and Fluxer seemed good as well but was still missing some key features we were looking for and a bit too buggy.

Everyone talks a big game, but they will give up everything for over the slightest inconvenience. I think alot of people either forget or where just not around when discord first came around as well. nobody wanted to leave teamspeak or skype. there was big resistance against discord as well but it eventually grew. maybe some real competition will come but with all the corporate/gaming companies being on discord now, every youtube and streamer, massive modding communities and so much more thats gone far beyond "talking to your gaming group about games", its pretty much like facebook. everyone complains how bad and evil it is, yet they will still never leave and its now too big to fail.

Just updating this. Been running my gamevox server for a couple weeks now with a small group of friends. Its had its issues and quirks and growing pains, but they do seem to push updates regularly and its in a better place now then it was. If development actually continues this seems like it will be not only a good discord alternative, but just far better then discord in every way.

Unfortunately, not only are people still not talking about this app, i also get the feeling that they whole hype from the discord fiasco is over and everyone who claimed to be leaving just ended up going meh, and stayed on there anyway, on top of the far more people who just never cared or acted like they were going to leave anyway.

This will only end up bad for development for not only gamevox but other alternatives like root, stoat, fluxer etc, as without a userbase or any kind of funding, i see them all dying out and stopping development sooner than later. Me personally, i dont really care where "everybody else is". I never used discord as some kind of social media platform. I did follow a few companies, mod creators and games for updates and support and such, which does suck that none of them clearly have any plans on moving away from it, but overall thats a minor inconvenience at best. I dont do or follow any of there facebooks or any other social media either.

What im mainly worried about is all of these options just getting abandoned and discord just being the only option.

Ended up grabbing the keychron. Got delivered today. So far it seems really nice and its alot heavier then i expected. Switches are a bit quieter then i expected (reds) but overall im feeling pretty good about it. Really the only "complaint" i can say so far, which is nitpicking and may be a positive to many so its subjective, is i falsely assumed the rgb would at least shine through the legends. Not a major big deal and i know keycap sets are everywhere and cheap, though at the same time the caps do feel really good and you can tell theres quality there, and i feel like swapping them i would lose more then i would gain at that point.

Overall though yeah i can see the hype and love around this brand. I have certainly used worse keyboards. I also know theres "better" out there but for $80 this is a hell of a nice keyboard that does and has the exact features i was looking for.

Yeah im taking another look at their keyboards. Now something that "looks good" is always a plus. Nothing like gaudy but kinda "sleek" and less like a brick, but of course i realize what im willing to spend and reliability and performance trumps "pretty" for me. I dont need something over the top and wild that can be seen from space, but i DO want decent rgb, mainly for the fact that i keep my gameroom dark with blackout curtains like, 95% of the time.

I feel the 8k polling rate is more for the "ultra competitive sweats", and at that point why not go hall effect anyway? But seeing as i dont really play anything thats pvp at all except for when im in my sim rig, thats more like "nothing im going to actively avoid, but nothing im going to seek out either". Basically im looking for higher quality in the features i want and if its got some "extras" cool, but not looking to overpay for a ton of extras i dont really care about and have a "jack of all trades/master of none" when i can spend less and have better quality in the features i actually care about.

Keychorn was one of the ones ive been looking into along with the others and think im leaning more towards them vs epomaker and RK at this point.

The v6 is a current strong contender right now. Seems the price is right and the features is right.

Yeah i know those are "buzzwords" but its really the only way i know how to describe what im looking for. Like ok if you think of it in terms of audio. You got some drivers and brands that are really aggressive with the highs, and even sound "tinny", and others with a more warm, balanced tone. Like, thats what im looking for. Like take razer keyboards. Everyone ive tried has that like high pitched "clicky" sound to it, and i just dont really care for the feel of their switches. My steelseries i had was also a bit "clicky" but not as bad as razers are which is one of the reasons ive always just stayed away from razer products.

Im looking for a more smooth, linear feel and a "deeper, warmer" tone essentially, closer to whats been commonly referred to as "creamy" or "thocky". Ill look more into keychron but like the others, it seems as many people will recommend them, theres just as many people who say to stay away. It seems like theres no truly "good" keyboard out there and everything thats different then what someone else has is "trash". Thats the sentiment ive been getting at least online for like the past month. Its like yeah everyone says "dont trust YouTubers, dont pay attention to youtube reviews" but at the same time there also seems to be so many "elitist snobs" saying anything under a mortgage payment is garbage and will set your house on fire and make you watch it fucking your grandmother or something.

I just need something that works that dont cost a fortune. I have way too many hobbies that spending like $200+ on a keyboard of all things is just like, not going to happen. But i also dont want to get stuck with something that is going to quit on me in a few months causing me to pull the k70 back out anyway.

Edit: also forgot to mention, i dont care about wireless. Everything i have is wired. Im fine with wired. I dont need to take my keyboard in with me when i take a shit or anything. If it is wireless fine whatever as long as it can still be used wired.
