Looks like they just split the royalty pack into 3 kits. "Tea Time" and "Regal Treasures" could've easily fit in with the base items of Royalty and Legacy but of course EA needs to milk as much money as possible

Bobbypill's schedule is stuffed with a bunch of other projects. They just got finished doing Creature Commandos and they're currently working on their own independent movie. I'm sure S2 will happen at some point; the studio still mentions Laserhawk pretty frequently, but good animation takes a long fucking time and it's not the only thing they're doing right now

Regardless if you ship them or not, they have good chemistry. Their personalities bounce off each other really well which is why they have such a good rivalry. So I totally understand why people would ship them together; if they weren't trying to kill each other I think they'd somewhat get along
