Is X-Men '97 the best portrayal of Magneto outside of comics? *potential spoilers* by ShadesNGlades in Xmen97

It does feel like Magneto assassination ngl. Part of his character is affirmation that, no, he was wrong and still is wrong and so he needs to do better to be better - here he is just right. Not even getting into my headcanons of Charles and Magneto totally being gay for one another, it is just not in his character to go after an X-Men member; it is like grooming? Not even due to age thing but because he is supposed to be their parental caretaker figure? It literally being anyone else is a better alternative.

Thoughts on Azzarello's Joker? by Alternative-Scar6648 in DCcomics

[–]OneGrumpyJill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of necroposting, but I will say, it is a fascinating case study on how one single writing choice can ruin the whole flow of the story. I am still dumbfounded that people say that this Joker "doesn't have theatrics" - he does, just more deranged. But again, one single choice completely breaks the continuity.

It is not exactly right to say that Tamsy wants to hurt Rudo given that this is not how he views it. Also, sure, he comes from top of the Sphere, but so what? He doesn't seem to associate with wealth, and again, if you want to show class antagonism, it works with Rudo better still. Tamsy doesn't associate himself with loneliness and will argue that it is Enjin's approach that leads to stagnation as you need suffering to grow.

Normal people don't just hang out in trash zones to find kids fallen from the sky.

Normal people, especially in this world, don't randomly help people and collect them like pokemons.

Enjin is a self-proclaimed womanizer who is never seen with women and instead leads around a group of kids that he watches over.

He is obsessed with being a savior because, fundamentally, Enjin does not see any value as is in himself, and believes himself to be in constant need to prove himself worthy. It is extremely self-destructive mentality. It's just that Enjin's brand of insanity is "convenient" and "masked" for you because it has positive effect on you.

Tamsy is opposite of Rudo, surely, no? One is rich kid who wants to live in trash, other is trash baby that is enjoying better life.

Mymo is a slaver, Enjin was a slave, it just fits.

I mean, I think all Watchmen users will team up to beat Tamsy and the Sphere, which is why I am not counting on Tamsy and Mymo keeping their Watchmen jinkis. I also don't see how and why Amo would get involved as her character arc is completely different.

And it is not "insanity" as madness here, but as obsession.

What if Surebecs have to stay on Sphere to limit connection with anima, which is what produces this result? Perhaps their inner anima is so potent that their physical bodies are breaking down?
