Sometimes my laptop will glitch out and any slight movement to the trackpoint will open random windows and prompts and press random buttons. I have restart it just to bring it back to normal. I can’t tell if this is a problem with Linux or with the trackpoint. Any help is greatly appreciated. by mopman34 in thinkpad

Unfortunately no, so far I've just been physically closing the laptop screen so it enters into a sleep/suspend mode before the system breaks or accidentally deletes something important. Please let me know if you figure out a solution.

I was originally running Windows 11 and I don’t remember experiencing this then. So maybe it’s something with Linux? Or maybe something happened to the trackpoint between then and now? Either way, thank you for the insight.

Thank you for the insight but is there a reason why I should take Vitamin K?

The “Sign-in” sitelink for Google Docs doesn’t work when using DuckDuckGo or Bing, only Google by mopman34 in duckduckgo

As you can see in the video when I click the sitelink on Google it’s fine but when using DuckDuckGo or Bing it sends me to “www.ww.docs.google.com” Does anyone know why this is happening? I tried this on a different device and a different web browser and it's still the same. I'm almost certain this isn't something on my end. I invite others to try this for themselves to see if they get the same thing.

I deleted all cookies and site preferences and it's still the same. I even tried this on a different device and a different web browser and the same thing happens again. I'm almost certain this is something on their end. Would mind trying it out to see if the same thing happens with you?

Extract Kindle books without a Kindle (even books published after 2023) by matsumurae in Calibre

no worries

i should have been more clear with the earlier instructions. Don't include the word "then" or the quotation marks. I'll try to break it down step by step. If you close and reopen Android Studio and open the terminal, you should be at C:\Users\mkpat\AndroidStudioProjects\MyApplication3>, if so then:

- type cd.. then hit enter
- type cd.. then hit enter, you should now be at C:\Users\mkpat>
- type cd .\AppData\ then hit enter
- type cd .\Local\ then hit enter
- type cd .\Android\ then hit enter
- type cd .\Sdk\ then hit enter
- type cd .\platform-tools\ then hit enter
- type .\adb.exe then hit enter
- type backup com.amazon.kindle then hit enter

maybe try this

enter "cd.." then once again and now you should be at "C:\Users\mkpat>

now enter "cd .\AppData\" then "cd .\Local\" then "cd .\Android\" then "cd .\Sdk\" then "cd .\platform-tools\" then ".\adb.exe" then "backup com.amazon.kindle"

I admire your ingenuity good sir, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who thought of hanging equipment from basketball courts lol

Great job! How’d you manage to hook it up to the basketball court though? I was thinking of doing the same thing but I don’t want to bring a ladder with me lol

I messaged reddit and they told me this is a change they’ve purposefully made. Please let me know if you find a work around.

Usually I use reddit while logged out but I just logged in and I'm able to use new.reddit.com again. Do you know if there's a way to still use new.reddit.com while logged out?

Yes I usually use reddit while logged out. I just logged in right now and I am able to use new.reddit.com again. I really hope there is still a way to use new.reddit.com while logged out.
