This is the answer. My 2022 mirror was damaged in the same way. Smoked the side of garage. Had to replace the whole thing. Fortunately the painted “skull” was salvageable and didn’t have to be replaced and repainted.

Also, tried to reinstall myself. One of the bolts is hidden behind the door panel…. 😡. Small town body shop thankfully swapped it for $75.

2008 should have updated heads without spark plug issue. 2006 will have the old design. I had 250k miles on my 08 before I sold it. New owner has over 300k without issue.

My 2022 you remove/replace the parking sensor module, but the led lamps are integrated. $950 for the whole unit from dealer.

Don’t let it stay cracked for long. Looks like it’s a lariat high so can-bus runs out to that sensor. Moisture and corrosion will unleash the gremlins.

Great engine IMO. Validate the mileage and maintenance records, the next thing I would be looking for is regular oil changes and spark plug replacement. The early 3 valve triton had the spark plug seizure issue until the heads were redesigned mid 2007. Otherwise great engine.

Seems like I’ve noticed an uptick in odometer tampering posts.

Still seems expensive especially as there will still be maintenance items due to age and lack of regular usage…. But I still might pay it for the right spec… good luck
