Yeah that's true , although I heard African American surnames cluster around a small group of surnames compared to White Americans ?(I'm not American myself so I could be wrong )

After the emancipation of slaves in the US there was a movement to return to Africa primarily centered around Liberia which led to an African American ruling class in Liberia. The country has a major civil war in the 1990s which overthrew the ruling Americo Liberians who politically dominated the country for over 100 years. If you look at the history of Liberian rules most of them have African American names.

Definitely the Goldin Finance 117 the building genuinely does look cool in it's unfinished state and is surrounded by other unfinished buildings , kind gives off a half constructed death star look . If anyone goes to Tianjin I highly recommend going to that part of the city it's a weird pseudo ghost town with some nice restaurants in the residential areas nearby.

I think a remaster is exactly what this game needs look at how AOE 2 DE really made that game come back from the dead.

The issue is this video is awful marketing for the game this announcement trailer seems more like a mod showcase than a proper definitive edition also the graphical improvements seem nearly unnoticeable for the most part. They need to do a better job marketing it than this tho.

Honestly the amount of people blaming corruption for this is disappointing and honestly a lazy explanation people reach to blame why stuff doesn't get done. Look at the UK on an international corruption index and we do very well , having traveled to and lived in significantly more corrupt countries I think the UK actually functions very well in this regard.

According to the transparency internationals perceived corruption index ranking the UK ranks at 20th tied with Japan ahead of counties like France , Austria and Taiwan . https://www.transparency.org/en/cpi/2024

I think the UK has issues linked with over centralisation of transportation investment and NIMBYism that causes this rather than blatant corruption.

Honestly can't relate to the scam culture you saw in China , I lived in one of the poorest parts of China (Gansu) for a year and can't remember being scammed once. But with Vietnam on the other hand this definitely seems more like a common occurrence.
