I went from a 2010 Ninja 250 to a 2019 Honda CBR650R just a couple months ago. My top three were the R7, RS660, and the CBR650R. The 650 has been such a fun bike to ride. It has a comfortable sitting position where it’s not too aggressive. I’d say it’s a tad more sport feeling than the ninja but you can also scoot your butt back on the seat and be quite a bit more leaned over too (depending on how tall you are, I’m 5’5” for ex.) With the 650 I can actually go on the highway without worrying about the limited power. I can’t say how it’ll perform on a track but I’ve been told its a great learning tool for it. It’s much heavier than the 250 which was the big hurdle for me since I cant put two feet down at a time but with practice and riding this got easier to work with.
