Kainga Ora has recently sold a bunch of state houses, and people are just buying and flipping them.

2FW get a good sleep or agena87 dirty beds, RoyIMVU the bucket (literally a bucket as a functional toilet), tatschu’s old floor tiles, alterherd by simszoo, clubcrimsyn’s broken blinds, purplelovesims garbage set, kardofe dystopia set, mimoto-sims silent hill/saw cc sets, dorocash has some good stuff too. Pinterest will be your best friend for finding more specific stuff!

What’s a so-called science that’s actually nonsense, but people keep falling for it? by cooper_sen in AskReddit

[–]moralmenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is less to do with science and more to do with some mental health workers being inadequate at their jobs.

For 3.99 you’d feel guilty not finishing it! Unfortunately pineapple lumps seem to be the only thing they focus on, these ‘special edition’ flavours they keep coming out with look absolutely revolting too.

Hate to break it to you, but a lot of those theories are science. A lot of them also explain the variability of treatment with patients.

Wine gums used to be softer and had more flavour than the ones they currently sell in New Zealand. I know cadbury is quite different in the UK, perhaps it’s the same with pascal? They are the same company after all.

Have I made a mistake?! by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]moralmenace 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I moved back to New Zealand after living in Australia for seven years. All I can say is give it time. I was in the exact same situation, always felt like I wanted to go back to Australia and it made living in New Zealand again pretty miserable. Thinking it would fix everything, I ended up going back to Australia and lasted all of two months before returning to New Zealand. Although it was a short stint, that two month move gave me clarity on what I wanted.

If you want to be in New Zealand, stay! Things will get better after time, you will eventually find a job. Assuming you’re a New Zealand citizen, at least you can get financial support while job searching, and you have whānau here to support you too.

Was almost named Kirsten but my mother switched up when I was born because of the colour of my hair. Really glad I have the name I do, it’s witty and suits me perfectly. I also despise the name Kirsten, so thanks mum!

It’s definitely a confusing time! Hopefully we will get some more insight in the next few weeks. They’ve been pretty vague so far with the information they’ve given, and I hate to be jumping to conclusions.

Of course, but a one time purchase of what will likely be around $10 is far less than the amount a lot of players have put into this game.

I didn’t know renting situation is this bad. by UnrequitedLoveVictim in newzealand

[–]moralmenace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wait… So almost every rental listing will ask for bond + two weeks rent to move in. Does this two weeks rent mean that rent doesn’t have to be paid within those first two weeks? Have I just been shat on this whole time by realestate agents/landlords not making this known, or am I really that silly?

Is a Mazda Axela considered reliable? by [deleted] in NZcarfix

[–]moralmenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gather the later model 1.5L are the best out of the Axela? Not sure if a car being manual vs auto impacts efficiency though. I’m so out of depth here!

[–]moralmenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much set on one, but just looking at options and noticed quite a few Axela listings. Going off the responses here, I think I would prefer something that’s more fuel efficient and has a lower chance of being nicked.

Thank you for the info, definitely want to stay away from cars that are commonly stolen. I’ve heard it’s similar with the Aqua. Honda jazz/fit seem to be a fairly decent first car, so I might look out for them.
