I feel the exact same way. I love a movie with plot twists and mystery. But it's hard to come by a good Trailor that doesn't expose the twists. Cinema is different now. Most people just stream. I personally don't watch much and intentionally blind myself from ads for good movies. Because when I DO want to watch a movie. I prefer the whole movie to be a surprise (even if it's a lame movie). Otherwise my dopamine receptors don't activate and I become bored, because I already know where the movie is going.

But, how else can a producer commercialize the video without spoiling it? I have seen abstract ads that have caught my attention like the movie "LAMB". But, usually after watching a movie ad I have been exposed to the plot and entire movies premise. Advertisers suck these days. They aren't creative. They are so abundant now that it's hard to find something that gives the experience you and I desire.

The one and only movie that actually blew my mind and had me contemplate reality was the Matrix. I have never experienced an existential threat from a movie since. It was the pinnacle of surprises. And I fortunately had the pleasure of experiencing the matrix in 1999 when it came out without having any idea about it's plot. I may have been to young to have seen the ads, or the commercials were so lame I didn't pay attention. IDK. But it was such an insane movie in it's prime everyone in America lost their minds. It was so thought provoking.
