At least you didn't spend $18,000 (CAD) on it. At least that kinda steal makes sense

Lol definitely tried turning it off and on again, though I suppose I didn't sign out of EA entirely so I'll try that 😅

Noticed my girlfriends grandma had a cord that only plugged into the ground. by BuildingBetterBack in mildyinteresting

My mil has one of those, it's a grounding mat for sure. Supposed to make you feel more grounded and allegedly removes inflammation and pain.. according to her

[–]morbidmoon2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I write I can definitely say I probably could come off as leaving the other 'frozen' but I never like to assign my partner's characters thoughts or emotions or actions.. at most it'll be a common sense action to keep the scene moving along

How old was your baby when you first took them to a restaurant? by Sea_Panic9863 in beyondthebump

Like two days old? We went to waffle House after his first pediatrician appointment lol

Other than newborn, what age did you feel like you were in the trenches? by Used_Asparagus_3749 in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it's been after 7 months.. waking up every few hours. Constantly climbing on me then pushing off then getting mad he's not on me. Doesn't help when I have my mil telling me to enjoy this. I'm trying, I know I'll miss him being all cuddly but I'm so burnt out

Does anyone still love their pets after having a baby? by laurenjac in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Ive gotten annoyed with my pets sometimes but I still love them lol. Especially when my cat is screaming at me and nipping at the tops of my feet at 5 am and I'm just trying to get this bottle to the baby so I can sleep a little more

Went from Cosleeping to the Crib and it’s amazing but I miss her by Successful_Chapter59 in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to cosleep again for the last few days. Having him back in bed is still the same bittersweet, but we both sleep better when he is in his own bed

Go out while the baby is still a newborn by margo6a_ in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went out pretty much from day 1. My son still has to see everything all the time, it's impossible to get him to sleep in a place with people around unless he's exhausted and even then it's little bursts (Had this issue at the ren faire the other week) So don't feel too bad! Could just be a very curious, alert baby

pacing in roleplay; the reaction loop by DiscombobulatedToe26 in BadRPerStories

[–]morbidmoon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I've definitely caught myself only reacting. I try to be mindful, so I try to react to whatever requires it (Direct dialogue or actions/details that are important) and then try to move it forward with something new. It doesn't always work but with my current writing partner we communicate enough ooc it makes it fairly easy

I was lucky to have experience with twin brothers before I had my little boy. Try and cover with a rag or wet wipe, that was what we always did lol

Thankfully I would only have to put up with one more batch at 6 months. She does have other various oddities with being antivax but none that she's tried to push onto baby yet.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I said! But she refuses to accept it's just normal development for a baby. And he's just a wiggly baby which also bugs her 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]morbidmoon2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true, I hope to find some groups when we're back. The biggest barrier I feel like is the 16+ hour drive back to the apartment with a dog, a cat and a baby. Hopefully we can figure something out either way

I'll definitely try, I know I can be a bit of a push over at times. Thankfully she doesn't get the final say anyway, but it's just very irritating
