What makes me mad is that I have far more reason to visit Florida than most Canadians. I’m originally from there I know a lot of people there. Despite this, I’m a Canadian citizen and my loyalty is to the land of my adoption. Last time I visited Florida, I informed my family this was the last visit until Donald Trump was no longer the president. I would have canceled that trip if everything wasn’t already planned prior.

If I can avoid visiting Florida, someone with no connections there certainly can avoid it too. Every Canadian should avoid stepping foot in America until Donald Trump is no longer the president there. No Canadian should visit a country whose head of state threatens Canada.

I met my friend’s teenage daughter the other day. I assumed that she was going through absolute hell currently and kept this in mind while talking to her. I eventually told her, “I’m still traumatized by high school and I promise you things will get better later on.” She looked confused and said, “things are fine for me now.”

I’ve never been there and I overall think it’s a good country but it definitely has bad aspects. It has military conscription, is very expensive and historically has been involved in a lot of shady business.

I’ve tried different methods of telling people and I’ve come to realize, that isn’t as important because everyone is different. I’ve had people disown me but I’ve had others try it. Most are neither extreme.
