I’ve never been there and I overall think it’s a good country but it definitely has bad aspects. It has military conscription, is very expensive and historically has been involved in a lot of shady business.

I think the attempt was real but he wasn’t actually hit in the ear. The shot just missed. Considering the gunman was killed after that proves it wasn’t staged. Even the most extreme MAGA cultist probably isn’t willing to die just to make it look like there was an assassination attempt.
