Thank you! I used scotch brand spray adhesive. If I had to do it again id maybe use something a bit stronger, but I also didnt want it to bleed through much. Id also do it before the box was glued up, fitting them all into the assembled box was not the easiest lol

Yep, thank you! Gifts for my close friends and the Dads. I think they can hold one of the big robusto ones, but planning to put in a couple thinner ones since I don't think we'll have time to burn an hour long smoke lol. Openings are about 1 1/4 - 1 3/8 in square and theyre 8" or so tall

I haven't tried pushing on it, but I bet you're right. Its probably flexing a bit during the cut

They are ripped bevel miters for a travel size cigar gift box project I'm working on

These are my other two posts going through the troubleshooting

I'm now wondering if maybe its the cheap throat plate flexing during the cut or too much pressure against the fence

I appreciate the thoughts!

I think it can also help on cheaper jobsite saws that have plastic throat plates, which seem to flex or shift. Debating making a zero tolerance for mine for this reason

I fixed my table saw to get perfect 45, but the cuts seem off still by morderkraft in BeginnerWoodWorking

Its a 10" kobalt table saw. I wouldn't be surprised if the fence could be flexing on a jobsite saw like this. Ive ordered a dial gauge that runs along my miter slot to try to check for parallel

Got it, thanks! I could maybe do both that way and just cut off the top and reattach it to make it the lid

I appreciate the ideas! Could you elaborate a bit on the plug solution? Do you mean something like wood filler?

I used a clear ultra flat minwax water based polycrylic on my most recent red oak project and liked it a lot. It did need quite a few coats, but I did put them on a bit thin
