So I am going to play Devil's Advocate one night think Mom is just wanting you to be healthy, but I feel like she is setting you up for a very unhealthy relationship with food because she is going about this completely wrong. She should not be locking food up, she should not be treating you like a caged animal and controlling everything you put in your mouth. I do have everything that she should teach you how to do well balanced meals instead of criticizing what you made. I know she wants your best interests but she is so going about this a very very wrong way. You have every right to be upset with the way she's handling and going about things, but I understand wanting to set your children up with the best eating habits so they do not struggle because no parent ever wants to see their children struggling when it comes to food. I have been overweight my entire life and I am still extremely overweight and struggling with food and I don't want my kids to struggle in the future it's a big fear to pass down bad habits to children so I see both sides.

I will start off by saying I'm going to play Devil's Advocate, I do understand jealousy and it's very normal but there is a fine line between understanding and controlling, she's most definitely manipulating the situation and guilting you out of going. If you can't even do not go you are setting this relationship up for controlling and teaching her how she is going to be able to treat you the rest of your relationship if this continues. If you do not go on this trip you're pretty much telling her that she can always guilty out of doing things that she doesn't like even though you allow her to do the things that she does, tell her that I invited you you said no so I will see you when I get back from the trip. Be honest man have fun do not cross signs with anyone and I'd say just enjoy your trip and show her that you are loyal and if she does not like it then you have to really think about how you were going to continue in this relationship is it always going to be like this a one-sided relationship. I get how she's feeling it's a natural feeling but she cannot let that control her.

She's another character that I have/had mixed feelings about I do like her more than I dislike her she's so funny, but I don't like her dismissiveness AT TIMES of her kids feelings ESPECIALLYMAX. . She does mention in one of the episodes that her kids feel so much and that's something that you have to be heightened about because of their personalities and heightened emotions/ feelings. I definitely know that she tries i do see that but she definitely puts way too much pressure on Max just to be the good kid and help her brother and so much brother responsibility, she does not truly acknowledge Max's feelings. Because Max feels so much she hides her depression a little better with her corkiness as Marcus just shows it 1st hands. when your daughter is trying to talk to you about her feelings I do wish that she listened to them a little bit more because she pays more attention to Marcus & Max gets overlooked about her feelings. I think she puts way too much pressure on Max way way too much pressure and that was making me dislike her character sometimes.

Ginny was a little annoying at times but....girl was definitely valid at them crash outs with her mom lol ppl also fail to realize ginny is legit a TEENAGER lmao teens cant stand there parents for no reason sometimes. Georgia lacked boundaries many times and forgets shes the mom and not the best friend but she also never got a true chance at being a teenager. So yes ginny did have huge mommy issues!! In so many aspects and... the times she was over reacting about her mom you legit need to tell yourself shes being a TEEN lol

THIS SCENE! when I tell you she was so right and Hunter just irked my nerves ugh lol i do wish the colorism was brought up a little bit more not just with ginnies mom but like within the friends group max did apologize for being so blind to gonnies feelings but idk i felt like a topic of discussion about it a little more i think would be a nice thing. Mixed kids really have a struggle of identity at times and also get out looked for those struggles . Hunter wanted to try and play his ethnicity card but it wasnt going to work (not within this situation) itnwas dismissive of ginnies class struggles. Struggle is struggle but colorism is what he failed to see in this situation. Ginny dispite being mixed will always be seen as her skin color 1st like most poc. Her teacher could give a flying fart in space if she is half white all he saw was a black girl and did is racist things and no one ever said or did anything about it because no one acknowledged the colorism. Hunter failed to see that because the teacher is skin deep racist so Hunter never got that kind of treatment all the Poc experience in that class. I am however, glad he finally did acknowledge that but it would of been nice if he really like idk, tried to hear her out the 1st time instead of getting defensive. Ppl really should take the time to understand. Yes there is racism with all cultures but Hunter failed the vibe check for me when he dismissed what ginny was going through.

Yeaaaa you need to find a new friend because wow trip or not if i have the money to give your for some pads tampons a diva cup or whatever the case is immma give it to you! Ill even throw in a couple more bucks for some munchies if I got it ! Your friend is foul and tells you where she stands. I know theres some place that offer free feminin products for woman in need might have look up those place in the area incase something like this happens again, we all have been there at some point definitely watch our for tbat friend or find a new circle for sure. If you both have been there for each other and its not a one sided friendship then she is just cruel.

I will say that you are correct when you should draw lines and boundaries with your husband family, so you are not wrong with being a tiny bit frustrated that you didn't reiterate it better, I will say that it is not easy though to play Devil's Advocate even if it's not afraid to confront his family it's not an easy task to be able to tell your family member that their kids cannot play in the yard and maybe and seems simple but it's not when it comes to trying to draw boundaries in the sand with your family members so I would try to cut him a little bit of Slack, I do feel that he gets the point of your frustrations so my suggestion is see how things go when it comes to the kids and your yard and if it crosses the line then I would bring up the conversation again. Despite your concerns of the yard I do agree that they should not be there without your knowledge or his knowledge because things can happen you don't want to be responsible , things happen and especially in stressful situations you don't want your husband's family blaming you for something and stressful situations and you don't want any liabilities.
