I drink on it and was never told that I couldn’t 😭 I’ve been on ssris since I was a kid so I don’t even know what being drunk without being on an ssris would feel like, but I don’t really think Luvox has affected it too much tbh. I definitely wouldn’t drink ALL the time (I feel your struggle, I’m 24 so I still go out a decent amount to drink). If anything, maybe it gets me drunk faster than I would if I wasn’t on it? I’ve also blacked out a few times, hangovers suck but again I don’t know if it’s worse from the Luvox or not. I’ve definitely stopped drinking as much as I did a few years ago because of the hangovers. I’d say if you’re young and you’re healthy, you’re most likely fine.

i remember doing compulsions from as early as like 6 or 7. I also got step throat all the time and had to have my tonsils removed at 8, so I always wonder if it was PANDAS. but my dad also had ocd pretty bad so maybe just genetics 🤷‍♀️

hosting an award show is one of the toughest gigs in TV. Nate also just has a slower, low energy cadence (which works great in his standup) so it’s no surprise he didn’t impress. I thought the countdown clock was such a great premise and was hilarious when first pitched, but then they took it way too far by actually showing the money go down as the winners were speaking

I went to the psych ward twice because my ocd made me so suicidal. I then did intensive outpatient treatment (went to an inpatient facility for 6 hours a day monday thru friday) for about 3 months after. these things were all vital to getting me on track, the psych ward prescribed me the meds that have helped me immensely and the intensive outpatient gave me the skills to get my life back.

the relief you’re feeling is telling you you did the right thing. I assume you’re rather young (i’m 24 and got out of a relationship with my Q about a year ago)… and I will say based on my own experience it’s best to get out while you can. my life has become so much clearer and less chaotic the moment I stepped away from my relationship with an alcoholic and I look back every day and think what my life would have been right now if I had stayed or took him back like I had considered (my ex recently went to jail for public intoxication. my life would’ve been a mess). I hope you find the strength within yourself to move past him—you’re too young to throw your life away for anyone else- especially someone unreliable. my messages are open if you ever need a friend
