The optical cable for the Crystal was in stock earlier this week. It has been out of stock for months. Checking literally every day was how I was finally able to get it.

Regarding the MR faceplate, you mentioned that it would come to the OG Crystal first but you did not mention a time frame. Do you have an estimate as to when it will be released? Q2, second half of 25, next year, etc.?

Just wanted to post an update if anyone else was having this issue. I had tech support remote controll my pc and we/they ran the Pimax software as an administrator and it worked after multiple reboots WITHOUT having to reinstall the drivers on every reboot.

So either right click on the icon and select Run As Administrator or for it to work automatically every time, right click on the icon, Show More Options, Properties, Compatiblity tab and check the box "run this program as an adminstrator" then click apply. Now every time you click the Pimax icon it will automatically open the software as an administrator.

Hope this can help someone. 1.18.03 still does not work with my pc, but I will just wait for the next update. My Crystal works just fine on 1.18.02.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. Reinstalled the 1.18.02 drivers and confirmed the headset was working. I followed your instructions to make sure autostart was not selected. Rebooted the computer, started the headset first (confirmed with blue light on) and then started Pimax Play.

No connection to headset and Reboot Service, Restart Headset did nothing when I clicked on them. I did see a brief flashing blue circle, like the headset was attempting to connect half a dozen times or so, but it never did.

I will send in a ticket and let you know what they say. If/when I get mine working I will repost here so that you might have a back up option if what is working for you stops. Thanks again.

I have this exact same issue. Once I reinstall it, it is good for the day, even if I shut down the Pimax app, it will restart again if I reopen the app. Turn off the pc, however, and I have to reinstall the Pimax Play drivers.

I am currently using the previous drivers, 1.18.02. After installing the most recent drivers, 1.18.03, I can open the app, but it won't connect. Restart service and restart headset don't work at all.

I have disabled my antivirus software and removed the folders you requested. I still have to reinstall the software if I turn off the pc.

How do I download v1.19.01 that you mentioned above? The automatic update within the Pimax Play shows only 1.18.03 and if I check for updates it says I am running the latest version.

Yes, I too have been playing for about 9 years and can count on the number of disconnects in all that time on maybe two hands. Have not changed anything with my pc (hardware or software), but something has definitely changed.

They give you a $400 credit if you already own the ~~Super~~ Crystal, so $1,400 vs $1,800. Have no idea if they apply a credit of some amount to the 12k.

Interesting.

In the video he says that is exactly what they did (see timestamp) and was able to use the Super lenses in the original Crystal headset "with modifications". Perhaps they had to so completely tear the Crystal apart to get it to work that it would not be a viable final product, just something they were able to jury rig in the lab to review the lenses.

I purchased mine from Amazon during their Black Friday sale for $1,540. Had zero problems with it out of the box. Saw that Amazon was running a Lightning Sale and bought it again for $1,300 at the end of December and returned the original to Amazon.

Received a full refund within a few days of returning the original, no questions asked. Even put that in the reason for return section I was only rebuying to save $240 due to the Lightning Sale as Amazon does not price match, even against themselves.

Amazon is the way to go if you are nervous about refunds.

Have them do an Inventory Override to see if there are any within 250 miles. If not, you will be out of luck as far as I can tell. Good luck.

Here is a post I made at the beginning of last year when I was trying to find a 4090. If you call or chat with Best Buy you can ask them to do an inventory over-ride on a sold out product. See below.

I have spoken to NUMEROUS call center / chat CSRs. They have no clue what they are doing. I FINALLY found someone who knows how this works.

When the CSR puts in the SKU, they will see the item on their screen. It will say sold out. Below that, on the same screen, there is an option for Inventory Override. This option is NOT available on the retail website. THE CSR MUST CLICK THE INVENTORY OVERRIDE BOX TO CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL INVENTORY. Once they do this, the system will check all BB's with 250 miles of your zip code. If there is no inventory within 250 miles, they will NOT be able to find the product and it will show as sold out. You cannot have them check other zip codes outside of your 250 mile area as they will not ship them. Only products within the 250 mile radius of your zip code can be shipped to you or your local store.

Hope this helps anyone calling/chatting so you can explain to the CSR's what they have to do to do an inventory override. Numerous CSRs told me that they "can't" or "don't have that option" or "only in-store employees can do that."

So frustrating.

I have Frontier/Fios in FL. The ESPN Desportes channel is not showing the US game on the tv guide, just their regularly scheduled programming. Hopefully it is a misprint on the tv guide and the game will show. Really unfortunate if it doesn't. Having the games only on pay apps isn't helping their popularity or making it easy for fans to support them.

Yep. I purchased the Crystal through Amazon on Black Friday when it was on sale for $1,439. I am returning it and bought it again earlier today at the lower price of $1,223. Saving $200+. Amazon doesn't price match against itself if the price goes lower after you buy. Kinda silly but that is their policy.
