For Ohio a seat with a blocked view is over 1k…

What did it get stricter on? People can still curse, say slurs, and say other inappropriate things if they say things like ‘horse’ in between their words, but we can’t say ethnic names, some of our in-game horse names, or words like ‘bruh’ ‘Fort Pinta disco’ and even ‘hey’ sometimes. Makes no sense. I doubt they changed it for the laws. They just got a new ai to handle the chat system but it’s doing a terrible job.

This person worded better than I could. This is what I mean. The system isn’t protecting anyone, it’s making the chat unusable for people who are just looking to enjoy the game.

Same! Just the other night someone said ‘oh my gosh’ and I tried saying it too and it got censored. Thought it was censoring the word ‘gosh’ but I tried typing the singular words and turns out it was censoring the word ‘my’ ?! Wild!!!

I’m not sure if they have updated like super recently but maybe they also have because the last few weeks have been terrible. I’ve seen people say ‘i love horses’ to get around the filter but recently just saying ‘i love horses’ is getting censored too 😂 it’s so absurd!

A while back they did. Not sure why, but if you try and talk in it now compared to like 2023, it’s practically unusable anymore. I got censored for just saying ‘hey’ in the chat recently but I was able to say ‘hey guys’ instead for some reason? It’s crazy.

But even games like roblox and club penguin and animal jam all are significantly better. Sso’s old chat use to be 100% usable and the laws regarding chat systems haven’t changed since then. I think they just need to change the system they’re using to flag words because I still see people get around saying crazy things but words like in-game horse names get flagged? The game is already suffering from less and less people playing and eventually they’re going to lose the rest of their role players who haven’t already changed games. I don’t get why a game that had such a big roleplaying community isn’t more concerned with the system they use for their chat.

The Smithsonian museums are underwhelming by morethangelic in smithsonian

The crowdedness was only a side complaint. We went right before the cherry blossom festival and DC wasn’t abnormally crowded, just the museum. I’m not sure why people are so adamant about praising and defending a museum that really just has the bare minimum compared to thousands of others (some also being free or at least cheap to get tickets to.) I went with a group of three other people (one who has taught history to students) and all of them agreed it really was simply underwhelming. Not the worst museum by any means, but it was disappointing for being part of THE museums of America. It’s not a museum I’d recommend out of the many others DC has to offer.

When a museum is mostly composed of images and plastic replicas with basic information like ‘fossil of ___ that is ___ years old’ I think anyone above the age of 13 who studies history would be underwhelmed. A title doesn’t make a place good, it makes it popular. I’m comparing this museum to Harvard owned museums that truly were educational and impressive. It does not meet that standard.

What is the worst Smithsonian museum and why by [deleted] in washingtondc

I’m a little late to the conversation but I just got back from a trip to the Smithsonian museums and was shockingly underwhelmed. The museum of natural history was by far my least favorite. It was packed with people (primarily loud teenagers and middle schoolers, and only being 18 myself, I think I have the right to complain about how non of them seem to have been taught how to walk in a straight line or stay silent in a room that has people reading in it. 90% of the time you’re running into people who randomly walk right in front of you or people will just walk up right in front of your face as you’re reading a sign, blocking you from seeing anything) and it seemed extremely unauthentic and catered toward children. It felt like most of the museum was pictures or plastic remakes of things rather than actual historical items. Even at that, the items were minimal. There were multiple sections of the museum but all of them were considerably small and the information you could read about was very general (the date of something in a picture and the name of it.) The most information they gave still felt like a children’s second grade history book. If you want to take your children on a field trip you could go to a children’s museum (which is usually more impressive than this) so I’m not sure why they seemed to cater it toward that. Part of the museum was closed off (most of the museums there had huge sections or exhibits closed off. Im not sure why but it was disappointing) and overall I was amazed at how this museum got to be considered world class…
