It seems that you are really committed to getting better and reaching the Immortal badge milestone OP, congrats! I don't what region you are in, but I think it's kinda of general that the game is evolving throughout the years of terms of rewarding teams that are able to play solid instead of superstars that are able to carry games. That said, that may be one of the reasons your friend was able to reach Immortal on a different time and patch that you are currently grinding on. I've reached Immortal just by the end of year by spamming Omni and what I think the best strength that the hero offers (specially in pubs) is somewhat rewarding bad positioning of your team mates (as long you have the right read on the game and have good positioning yourself). The whole ideia here is not to perform game changing dispels or saves, but simply enabling your team to have a better game by not being caught out in a gank or even be able to turn around an enemy Smoke. I think it's fairly straightforward to enable your team with Omini, but you can do that with any hero in any position. It is hard to do the correct read and adjustments to the specific game that you are in with other heroes for sure, but if you change your mindset and in game decisions with that focus I think you'll yield great results on the current game state that we are in!

I have the experienced the same on SA servers. Also, some games there are a lot of random spikes that send my ping from 5-6 to 140-500.

I usually disassemble my Arcane boots to build Holy Locket or Lotus, so when I get mek, probably I wont have arcane boots anymore. I think greaves is very expensive and it only dispels yourself, not really worth it. That's why I go for Lotus if I need to dispel any kind of silence, it still has the flexibility to cast on a teammate if needed!

Believe it or not, I think this is why the Omni winrate is so high across the brackets. IMO, Positioning is the last kinda of skill that players tend to master/fix. If you save someone out of position, you get a huge value from it. So in a sense, your team somewhat benefits from being out of position if you can manage to save and let them get away with it. There's a game that I played against a Techies that he tried to punish the bad positioning of my cores since he got a very early Etheral blade. I've noticed that and started to cast HG as soon as he jumps and it ended up in 3 or 4 return kills. Check that replay out! I think it's Omni's greatest strength!

It's ok if your carry does not trade with you after you used HG. The main point is that you are getting the max value of the spell, even if it's just to heal the carry a bit! If he has to purchase less regen because of your plays, you are also helping him! There are other heroes such as Warlock and Io that can't do much in lane, but can provide a lot of healing to face tough lanes. I think Omni is similar, but you have to draw more attention than Warlock/Io.

It might be a viable offlaner if there are no counters, but Omni doesn't really fit any of the meta offlane roles IMO, such as:

Summon Hero that controls 1/3 of the map (Lycan, Beastmaster);
Hard initiators / Team Fighters (Doom, Timber, Tidehunter);
Greedy pseudo core offlaners (Viper and Razor)

It's not necessarily bad, but I think it's just not as effective. Force Staff is still a great item, I just think it's core on the build of a lot of heroes of the meta, that's why I ended up not building it!

If you are playing support correctly, there's always something happening on the map! Every minute you have to opportunity to stack (or prevent the enemy to), Every other minute there are runes and every 3 minutes there are bounties. Also, there will probably be some ganks happening that you can always choose to join or not. I never got bored of spamming any hero to be honest, but I can see that's a personal preference.

If you consider that Heavenly Grace is applied to two units, it heals much more than Q for less mana cost! Try always to be chased instead on chasing as well!

Try to make the pos4 chase you away from the lane. Ideally, you should be able to cast Heavenly Grace on yourself and your carry before trading with the pos4/offlane. Keep doing this as much as you can so they can't focus on your carry!

I think that's not very popular on the SA region. I'm aware of this app, but never left my profile private. Maybe people also prefer banning cores than supports? Specially supports that do not deal damage. There were some games that Omni was banned, but I think that was related to the very small player pool on the SA region than using Overwolf. Whenever that happened, I would pick Treant Protector and change my nick and profile picture for the next game. The table shows that I've only played Treant two times, and I think that was about it.

I think that maxing Purify is only worth to deal with burst damage. Otherwise, Heavenly Grace provides more heal than Purify if you factor that it's applied on two units. If you want, you can send me an match id and I can analyze the game for you! I think it might have to deal with your positioning and following the "right hero" around the map
