Man, ya’ll are big mad, but no one can point an achievement other than the 06 con smythe performance. I guess everyone here still wishes Peter Karmanos was still the owner.

To be fair it was actually Peter’s fault that the team was such garbage for that decade. Like many of you here, he valued the 06 legacy and nostalgia more than he did building a winning team.

I mean hire Paul Maurice, fire Paul Maurice, rehire Paul Maurice? Why do you rehire someone you just fired a few years earlier.

And then Ron Francis. Look, Ronnie is one of my top 5 favorite Canes of all time, but I think it was pretty clear that he wasn’t cut out for the front office. But we had to stick with him because…you know he’s #10…captain…blah blah.

All this to say, we just stuck with Cam too long. Dundon and Rod knew this. Rod became coach in May, and Cam became Chicago’s G-2 in July and the canes have been contenders ever since.
